Planning the Perfect Event
I think a lot of us now are planning what we can do in the months to come. I know for me, thinking about what could be done once the world goes back to normal gives me something to be able to look forward to.
For those who are planning events, there are so many ways online to help you put together the perfect plan. From easy ways to sell tickets online, to meeting up with similar businesses who may want to be part of the big day.
What, however, are the perfect steps to planning the perfect event?
Set Goals.

The first thing is to set up a plan and think about those goals.
Who do you want to attend? What do you want to offer your guests? What do you want them to take away from the day? Why are you hosting this event? Are you launching a product, celebrating a milestone, or just throwing a good old get-together.
How will you go about fulfilling those goals with the event?
Create a Budget.
How much do you have to spend?
Once you know this it will help with your planning.
From food to exhibits and entertainment, everything which is part of your event that is going to cost you needs to be taken into account before you start booking and announcing the big day.
Venue.

A big decision you have to make is where are you going to hold your event?
When it comes to the venue you need to think not only about budget but about the cost to hire and the room needed for your event.
Once you have a venue in mind, you need to make sure it is free on those dates you have in mind.
Invite Entertainment.
Next up on your list has to be inviting entertainment, stallholders or any other businesses you would like to have at your event.
They will, of course, need to check their own calendars. So giving these people as much warning of the big day as possible is a must.
Invite Guests / Sell Tickets.
For some events, guests are going to pay for entry to help the organisers recoup the costs.
Thankfully, there are simple and easy ways to set up the sale and advertising of your event online.
Delegate.

When it comes to the run-up to the big day, making sure everyone knows what they need to do to make the event run without a hitch is a must.
Delegate jobs to those you trust and know can pull them off smoothly. Remember never take on too much yourself.
The more people you have on your side, the easier it can be to get everything done.
So there you have some ideas for helping you plan the perfect event, what steps would you add to the process?

Some great tips in here when planning an event planning is so crucial and delegating makes it easier!
I love planning events, my granddaughter has asked me to help with her wedding planning for next May. I didn’t realise that there was so much more to do these days. Did you know there are bridesmaids boxes to organise,I didn’t until recently!
No plans for a large event, but our neighbours have mentioned about planning a get together with everyone on our lane when it is safe to do so.
Lots of great tips and having a budget is so important!
Some good, solid advice there for the clueless among us without the first idea of knowing how to go about such things!
We’re considering hosting an event for our 40th wedding anniversary later this year. I’m torn between having it at our house, which gives us greater flexibility over what time the event finishes, and enables both my husband and I to have a drink, versus holding it at a venue so that someone else takes care of the clean up. Of course I’m assuming we’re able to hold events by the end of the year, but who really knows.
Oh wow I hope you have an amazing time however you decide to celebrate! What a wonderful anniversary to be celebrating.
Great tips as always! Hopefully it won’t be long ’til things are back to normal and we could actually do things again which are unable to do at the moment. Still, it’s never too early to plan ahead!
Definitely I think planning can sometimes help you through as well.
Definitely, finding out what people are good at and making sure that is part of their job can be wonderful as well.
Me and my best friends all have our 40th birthdays next year and we want to do something fab so this would be wonderful to help out with planning. Hopefully all this will be over by then!
Ohh exciting I hope you managed to plan an amazing party for you both!
Great post ! Planning events is just not me but I can always rely on my daughter’s they’re pretty good I wouldn’t know where to start. Looks like this year there won’t be any with the lockdown and would have liked something for my birthday this month. Looks like a social distancing event lol
Oh no! I feel awful for anyone who is having to celebrate their birthday in lockdown!

Ekk! I can try and help haha! Definitely delegating.
Wow there’s so much to consider. I rarely plan anything bigger than a big family dinner and that seems like enough actually. Can’t imagine being an event planner or planning bigger events than that.
I think any event you plan no matter the size can be hard work at times!

It is such a great website isn’t it? So simple to use.
I haven planned my wedding after that I haven’t planned anything. Now only planning small birthday parties for kids which is in strict budget as you mentioned.
Budget is a big thing, we all need to make sure we stick within it.
I love planning events. We were supposed to have our annual country market this month and I help plan it every year. It’s our school’s biggest annual fundraiser.

Thanks so much for sharing this! Sticking to the budget is what I struggle with most, but your plan will surely help!

I’m currently wedding planning… although not entirely sure what’s going to happen there!
But reading this reminded me that I wanted to throw a charity tea party to mark my Late Mums birthday. We did one last year and raised a lot of money.

I had a retreat planned before we were put in lockdown. When it’s safe again, I’ll use this checklist to make sure I’ve ticked and crossed all the boxes!
Oh this sounds amazing! Good luck with getting it all up and running.
Planning an event whether a small party or huge company event can be quite stressful so these ideas will definitely help someone out there realise that they need to book the gigs and have a budget in order
