The Perfect Garden Benches from Sloane & Sons
Right now is a time that many of us are spending more time in the garden. Something I am sure with summer on its way, is only going to increase. So no doubt you will need some garden benches!
Many of us are looking for ways to turn our garden into a usable extension of our own homes.

Sloane & Sons
Founded in 1989 by Gerry Sloane, the foundation of this company is keeping things simple by offering high-quality products and keeping its promises.
They are actually a local company to me, having been founded and still working from Burton-on-Trent.
Historically, they began life as a company manufacturing cushions and soft furnishings. From here, they grew to offer essential products for both the home and the garden.

If you are after a bench for two, the couples range might be just for you.

Lutyens Teak Garden Chair
I really like the design of the Lutyens range, which offers a host of different sizes, from this single chair right up to a four-seater bench.
Alongside its unique style, it offers a supportive back and is made from hardwood teak, so it is perfect for standing up to the English weather (though please do think about getting a cover for any garden furniture).
I can just see this lovely chair tucked away in a favourite corner of the garden, where you can settle down to read or work.

Oxford Teak Garden Bench
If you are after a larger two-seater garden bench, then the Oxford could be for you.
Made using traditional joinery techniques but with a modern twist for the back, this is the perfect mix of old meets new.
I can just imagine this being the perfect bench to sit on with a friend or family member, with a nice cup of tea and the time to catch up, something we will all enjoy doing in times to come.

Things to Remember When Buying Garden Benches.
While all the benches come with a 12-month warranty, it is well worth buying accessories for your bench.

Weather covers will really help keep the worst of the British weather from your new bench. Honestly, we have one for our bench, and it really has made a difference to the overall condition.
Another must-have for me is some cushion pads as well. These can help with the comfort of a bench and allow you to while away the day in the garden.

The Westminster bench is my favourite
I love the OXFORD TEAK GARDEN BENCH, it looks sturdy which is something that me and my husband need, I have lower back problems with a crumbling spine so something sturdy is a necessity. Our baby daughter died in 2012 so we have always wanted a memorial bench in the garden for her, we got a plaque made up for her but never managed to get enough cash together for the bench. Would be lovely for me and my husband to cuddle together on a lovely garden bench pondering on what could have been if she had lived but also appreciating our 3 children who all give us so much to be happy and proud of.

There’s no better or quicker way to smarten up a garden than by putting some fine wood outdoor furniture on display. Even a simple bench, with say a nice, big potted plant at either end, becomes a real statement piece within your four boundaries.

There were quite a lot of benches on the Sloane & Sons website that I liked but that the £250 voucher wouldn’t quite cover the cost of (e.g. the patriotic look of the Sandhurst Teak Bench or the 4-seater, longer, Winchester Teak Bench) so for me I’d want either the Lutyens 3-seater or the classic look of the Windsor 3-seater. As we have just completed on a new house it would be lovely to have a new bench for my better half & I to sit on in our new garden, relax with a nice coffee and enjoy the peace & quiet (after decades of living beneath the neighbours from hell!) We will also have regular company from our friend and his business partner so a 3-seater bench would be perfect. I might even try to talk him into one of each or a matching pair for when we have more company.
