  2. I haven’t really had time to think about lockdown so much this week as I started a new job as catering assistant in a care home. I did four days of training online and yesterday was my first day in the kitchen and it was an 11 hour shift, today I am recovering.

  3. This thing really is hammering people’s mental health, isn’t it? It feels like we either face the threat of the virus or hide away and neither are great options. I had a tougher week last week too, and I think a lot of people reached a kind of end point. I hope this week was better for you? Love the headband!

    1. Definitely – I know if I could I would just run away – but how can you run away from something you can’t see?

  4. It is definitely difficult particular for mental health too – hopefully an end will be in sight soon!

    1. I hope so as well, I’m struggling with my mental health but I also know we need to keep people safe.

  5. Im going slightly insane to be truthful with you. It’s getting to us all a bit now I think but we have to keep going strong and keep at it. There will be light at the end of the tunnel one day.

  8. I’m so fed up of lockdown now practically at the end of my tether with it . I miss my grandson so much he’s been a big part of our lives since he was born so I’ve been really down. Suffering with anxiety to start with doesn’t help. Just hope it ends soon. I love the feed diffuser and the little bat is gorgeous

    1. It’s so hard isn’t it – we really aren’t cut out of this now, I can’t imagine how they managed it years ago!

  9. Brit Box has some great shows on, I’ve been rewatching Sandition on there – I do love a period drama.

    1. I really need to delve into it a bit more we haven’t got further than Midsomer Murders yet.

  10. It sounds so good, I loved your idea in this situation we realized everything in our house is worth it, we make something’s creative about it and a lot of time with family, bunding together doing together and pray together to him.

    1. Aww it sounds like you have some amazing things going on to help you keep together and enjoy the time.

  11. As weather gets warmer, we can venture out for walk, only going out for grocery and essential. I don’t think we will go out near future. may after sometime everything get wind down we will. That skull reed diffuser looks really nice.

    1. Ohh that’s an idea of something I can do with it when it’s out of scent thank you.

  12. So glad that you are finding driving relaxing, this week has been a mix just like yours.. I have had good days and hectic days. The Skull Reed Diffuser from The Noor Company looks quite cool, something i would love to add to my collection too.

    1. It is so fun, they did some candles as well wish I had got one of those hopefully they might get more later.

  13. I am quite enjoying being at home during lock down it has given me the opportunity to catch up on loads of stuff that I missed doing during my hectic work life also I have gained new skills

  14. I go back and forth between being ok and not being ok. This week I’m feeling ok I’m working on some projects to keep me busy and I’m loving Downton Abbey at the moment! I’m on season 5.

    1. It’s hard isn’t it – I’m so up and down don’t know what the next day will bring.

  15. It sounds like you’re managing pretty well, but I hope things improve soon! My husband and at least two of my kids love skulls too, I might have to get one of those diffusers. That bat is super cute.

    1. They are fun – something a bit fun as well to keep it in – I love unique looking objects.

    1. It’s nice that they are open again even just to see someone other than Ash haha!

  19. I too love all things skull! I find the media are making the mental health of a lot of people suffer, we’re only really hearing the bad, and not the good. It would be great to hear how many people have beat COVID-19 rather than how many have died to put into perspective.

    1. Yes I agree, I’ve tried to step away from the media but it’s so hard as its everywhere these days isn’t it?

    1. It’s good so far though we haven’t gone much further than Midsomer Murders – we got it free for 6 months from EE if you happen to be with them just check you don’t have the same offer.

    Going for a drive sounds like a good idea. I am a little inactive in Winter then gradually energise in the Spring and get cracking on big tasks around the house such as decorating. This Spring, however, I can’t get going at all. Hopefully a safe lockdown lift will come soon.

    1. I have to admit I’m awful at online shopping always find something or other to buy whoops!

  24. I agree with you that mask wearing will probably be compulsory as lockdown eases. I’m thinking about making some as I’ve seen lots of sewing patterns online.

    1. There’s some great patterns around – if I was able I probably would have given it a go myself too.

  26. Over the last few weeks, I have struggled with going outside beyond my garden or weekly food shop, but the drive there has been a welcome distraction.

    1. It is weird I think we are going to struggle when things go back to normal in feeling safe doing so almost.

  27. Honestly, lockdown life ain’t that bad over here. I am still doing my thing… I just take more naps, LOL!

    1. Honestly, I wouldn’t have thought of getting it but couldn’t say no to the 6 months free seeing as it was offered and glad we did!

  29. Yes, we’ve been going out and picking up food as well. It gives us something to look forward to. I’ll check out the small businesses you mentioned.

    I would love a chippy! We had a takeaway for the first time since lockdown last week and it was glorious – for once not having to cook, I definitely needed that night off! x

    1. I have to admit I love a good reed diffuser! We normally don’t get anything delivered here but all of a sudden loads of places have added us to their delivery range haha.

  31. It is getting hard to think of life outside lockdown, I am glad you managed to get out and get a chippy. We are getting ours delivered when we have a takeaway and they leave it at the door.

    1. I think it is all going to be really strange when things go back to normal. We weren’t going to risk it but then I just ended up needing to get out and they have set it up so well we’ve never come close to another person.

    I know a lot of my colleagues and friends struggled last week, I think the break in the nice weather didn’t help.

    1. Yeah I think it’s the time when we want to get out isn’t it? Getting to the point where it’s just too much. Will be interesting to see what they suggest this coming week.

    1. I am really hoping it eases up a bit! So many places are saying it’s going to but I won’t believe it until it’s from the government lol.
