Are you looking for a new drink to kick off your day with? Do you want something which will give you a boost of energy while being warm and delicious?
Well, perhaps Zest Tea might be a drink you would love to learn about.
Zest Tea
Made with a balance that means no crash and no jitters. Zest Tea offers 3 x the caffeine of a regular cup of tea which has been blended with amino acids, like L-Theanine. This is crucial to how the tea works as it offers a slower steady release of energy.
The teas contain around 150mg of caffeine, with around 400mg of caffeine considered a safe range for most healthy adults.
While they contain natural ingredients, are low to no sugar and gluten-free.
Zest Tea Selection
I was kindly sent a selection of Zest Tea to try out for myself. This included a trial pack of four flavours and a full-size pouch (20 bags each) of their Earl Grey and Blue Lady flavours.
Perhaps I should start buying talking about how much caffeine I normally consume. I admit to loving a good cup of tea. However, I normally only have a caffeinated one as my first cup, and after I switch to decaff.
So with this in mind, I decided to make a cup of Zest Tea as my first cup of the day.
Did I See an Energy Boost?
I find this a hard question to answer. I’ve been unwell lately which has had an effect on my ME. While I don’t produce energy like others, so my experience with the caffeine energy boost is very different to most people.
That said there were a couple of occasions when I didn’t feel quite so bad overall and I did feel like it had an effect. Don’t get me wrong. I didn’t find it helped physically with energy, however, I do feel like my mental stamina went up a little. This allowed me to do some more work on my blog.
So energy-wise, for me at least, if I pick and choose the days I drink the tea, it can be effective for me.
How about Taste?
When it comes to taste I was really surprised by how much I liked these teas. I can be a bit picky when it comes to herbal teas, always preferring a good English Breakfast Tea. However I energy each of the flavours I was sent.
Though I have to admit I totally understand why they sent full-size pouches of the Earl Grey and Blue Lady as they were definitely my favourite.
Blue Lady offers a sultry Flowery Orange Pekoe black tea base from South India. Alongside an aromatic mix of orange, lemon, passion fruit, and hibiscus. A peppering of vivid blue cornflower petals and bits of orange peel make for a visual spectacle.
While Earl Grey is made with a premium Nilgiri Indian black tea blended with a delicious bergamot essential oil.
