    1. It is such a great idea of something a bit different to do and it creates such memories.

  1. I love getting my husband something personalised from the children, it makes it extra special. I haven’t actually thought of what to get this year so I will have to do some research

    1. Good luck with finding the perfect present this year, I hope this has given you some ideas perhaps.

  2. Some great ideas here but who invented Father’s day – and why? Is it just a reaction to Mother’s day (or days as there seems to be two mother’s days)? I can see the point of honouring Mother’s but do us Father’s really deserve it? I think the answer is No!

    1. I think the confusion around Mother’s Day comes as different countries celebrate it at different times. Here in the UK, it is the fourth Sunday of Lent, in the USA / Canada and Australia (to name a few) it’s the second Sunday of May. Then Poland celebrates the 26th of May. While France, Sweden and others celebrate the last Sunday of May and then there are even countries it isn’t until September and October.

While for Father’s Day the UK / USA / Canada / Australia and to be honest most countries all follow the third Sunday in June for the day. Though a small number do celebrate it on different days for instance Spain, Italy and Portugal celebrate it on March 19th.

  3. My Dad is no longer with us but my grandson likes to buy something for his Dad and the groooming kit would be great for his Dad who has a fine beard!

    1. Aww, I’m so sorry you don’t have your Dad with you anymore. It sounds like a grooming kit would work wonderfully for your grandson’s Dad!

    1. My Dad does love a tipple at times as well. I have to admit I got him some local beer for his birthday last month.

  4. I don’t have a father figure in my life, but my children are young so we choose my husbands fathers day presents together and it’s so hard because he never wants anything!
I like your idea of a subscription box, I think this would be a great idea for him!

    1. It is hard, isn’t it? I never quite know what to get for the men in my life be it my Dad or Ash.

  5. I think my husband is that type of guy that has it all (well he has not got many hobbies) so I think I’m going to go for an experience day present for him, on behalf of the kids. Sometimes the memories we create on those experiences are far more worthy than any physical present 🙂

    1. Definitely I think often they can make memories for all the family as well as you get to share that time.
