Road Trip Across England
One thing I would love to be able to do is take off across the UK on a road trip, visiting all my friends and family across the UK on the way and getting to see some amazing sites I perhaps haven’t had the time to as well as visiting some places I loved as a child. In fact I have at least part of it planned out in my head all ready to one day hopefully become a reality and we don’t even need to take our own little best for a city run around car with great Budget Car Hire available.
Starting from Lichfield my first port of call would be St Albans, to visit the lovely Bex from Futures – I know it surprises many people who found out, but I haven’t actually met Bex yet. But she is a diamond friend, when something goes wrong I know I can jump on messenger, drop her a line and be giggling in no time. Plus it would be lovely to give Jack Jack a nice squishy hug – he is such a cutie.
Next on the list would be over to Oxfordshire to visit my aunts, uncle and cousin, birth family and best friend, making it a very busy and beautiful county. There is so many place I would love revisit in Oxford but I think top of my list would be The Ashmolean Museum, the place that probably had a big impact in my love of ancient history and Blenheim Palace a place a remember spending many sunny summer afternoon with a picnic, plus it would be lovely to show Ash some of my childhood haunts.
Thirdly on the itinerary would be Basingstoke to visit Ash’s Mum, Dad and sister, one thing I hate about not being able to drive that far myself is we don’t get to go down to see them as much as perhaps we would otherwise.
Last but by no means least would be down to Cornwall, one of my favourite places in the UK and it just so happens to be where the other half of my family live! So not only would we get to spend time by the sea and visiting some beautiful historical sights but also catch up with some lovely family members.
Do you have a road trip you would like to take, who would you want to visit on the way?

I’ve got family all the way down in Plymouth and then all the way back in Edinburgh so I’d love a road trip all the way there and back
Sounds like a great trip, I’d like to do something similar too!
Growing up in the city I’ve never been so interested in road trips before until moving to Colorado. I would definitely love to see the world by land and not by air. Sounds like you’ll have an amazing time in England. I’m so jealous! 🙂
I would love to visit England one day, maybe a family trip as the kids get older!
I would love to take a road trip to visit every state – it would be wonderful!
I would love to just take a week every year and just drive somewhere new with hubby and son.
I live in central NY so lots of cool stuff is only a couple of hours away. I would like to see Niagara Falls again sometime soon.
I would love to take a road trip across the UK too. 🙂 Cornwall sounds lovely, I’d love to visit.
I would go anywhere in the US honestly. I love road trips especially those that are not “planned” just go.
That sounds like an amazing road trip you are planning. Family, Friends and old haunts–what could be better?
My husband always talk about getting a big RV when we retire and just driving around the US looking at all the landmarks we’ve never seen before.
I would go on a road trip to Scotland and stop at the Lake District on the way
