November 9th – Life After a Lockdown #84
Last week was a bit of an all over the place one, my fatigue seems to be hitting me badly and for longer periods. Which I bought up with my physio, I thought it was bad before I was admitted to hospital this year, however, it only seems to have got worse.
Anyway, how has the world been? Well, Covid seems to be catching back up with us, Germany is seeing very high rates, however, Japan has seen 0 daily deaths for the first time in 15 months.
Here in England, we are apparently a long way from a winter lockdown. However, there is also a big push to try and get people to have their booster jab, as they feel levels of protection are falling.
Anyway..
On With The Linky!
Starting off I must say a huge thank you to Bex from Futures for joining me each week as my co-host and of course Jenni at Lyrical Host (affiliate link) for kickstarting the idea!
If you would like to take part, it’s simple:
We ask that you give both Bex and I a link back in your post, as hosts of the linkup and you can copy the questions below.
After that; all you need to do is pop back to mine or Bex’s post and add your link in the inlinkz.
1. How are you feeling/coping?
2. What have you been up to over the past 7 days? Are you living life as normal, being cautious or still being very careful?
3. What’s a helpful tip you would like the future to know about living in / or after a pandemic?
4. What tips do you have for others when out and about?
5. What is your favourite post of the past 7 days (it could be yours or someone else’s)?
6. What have you been grateful for over the past 7 days?
7. What has made you smile this week?
8. Anything else you would like to mention?

So what did week 84 hold:
1) How are you feeling/coping?
Sick of feeling fatigued and sore – but I mean is that anything new?
I am worried about winter, but I am trying not to let my anxiety take over. Hopefully, things won’t get as bad as we have seen them before and we can have a relatively “OK” winter.
There have, of course, been a lot of fireworks going off, I read a story about someone local losing a pet to stress which is absolutely heartbreaking. I really feel like fireworks need to be limited to events and not sold to anyone and everyone. Plus let’s turn down the bangs, no need for them to be quite so loud. This year did see some supermarkets selling lower noise fireworks which is a step in the right direction but won’t overly help till every firework is low noise.
2) What have you been up to over the past 7 days? Are you living life as normal, being cautious or still being very careful?
We had the cleaners come for the first time since pre-covid, I think it was probably a couple of months off 2 years.
It was nice for the place to have a good clean, as obviously I can’t do much anymore and while Ash tries his best, a good go over from professionals makes all the difference.
3. What’s a helpful tip you would like the future to know about living in / or after a pandemic?
It can affect you in all different ways. Mentally, physically the whole world changes around you and learning to live in a different way is mentally and physically exhausting at times.
4) What tips do you have for others when out and about?
I’m seeing fewer and fewer people wearing masks, in fact, we went into a shop quickly the other day and we were the only people wearing one. However, it is OK to keep wearing one, nothing wrong with protecting yourself and others.
5) What is your favourite post of the past 7 days (it could be yours or someone else’s)?
I did an update on a post that I’ve continuously had emails about over the years, the new Donnerberg Shiatsu Neck and Shoulder Massager. I’m really hoping that helps people who have been wondering how to buy one – as it did go off the market for a while.
6) What have you been grateful for over the past 7 days?
My bed – having been so exhausted I’ve spent a lot of time it and it is very comfortable I have to say.
7) What has made you smile this week?
I had some really nice chocolates this week – they made me smile, I mean who doesn’t love a good chocolate?
8) Anything else you would like to mention?

Very interesting reading your story! Thank you!
You are welcome I am glad you find it interesting.
I thinkI need someone to help me sort out my wardrobes! They are overflowing with clothes- some of which I’d forgotten about, and some of which remain unworn, price tag still intact. It’s taken me years to accept that I do have a bit of a hoarding problem! Not a bad as some of those poor people you see on TV…. but the instinct is definitely there!!
Ekk good luck! It might be worth seeing if someone would list them on a website for you and perhaps they get part of the sale?
