  1. Yeah we are definitely putting our health and safety first these days, rather than just acting like it is all over.

  2. You are very right it might be interesting to see how everything is looked back on in years to come.

  3. I could not believe the queues outside Primark. I am staying away from shops as long as I can, its not worth the risk. I am back at work next week so things will be different for me.

  4. I think there will be – they have already stopped doing it 7 days a week and I think they will try and ease it down more ASAP. Trouble is other than repeats we will struggle with programmes that can’t be recorded at distance. As Eastenders going off-screen for the first time shows.

  5. I hope you start to feel a bit better soon and the lump disappears. I’m also a bit worried how quickly everything is opening.

  6. Hope your lump gets sorted. Can’t be easy and with everything at the moment all I would have wanted was someone to examine me but that isn’t possible. I hope we don’t spike- it’s so up and down and it is hard to decide what is right and what isn’t. Can we fast forward to next year please

  7. I was just saying today how I need to come up with a routine for my family as it is a free for all over here.

  8. There is still so much uncertainty despite more areas opening up. Agree, seriously hope there is no second wave. Funny, but I have a lump in my arm pit too that I’m waiting to get checked out. Stay safe and healthy.

    1. I hope all comes back OK with your lump! It’s hard isn’t it, not knowing what might happen.

  9. I have not been to any shops apart from our weekly grocery run. I am still trying to limit contact with other people, although we have had a change in our household because our son and his partner have moved back in with us. As self-employed musicians, they can no longer afford to rent a flat, so they and their 2 cats have are now living in our house. It’s nice having our son at home, although our 2 cats are a bit miffed that there are now 2 more cats and we’ve had a few scuffles but luckily nothing serious.

    1. Oh gosh, I bet that is hard on them and you – I’m starting to struggle now as well, everything seems to have ground to a halt when I thought things might start to pick up.

  10. Completely agree about things moving too quickly in England. We have just changed a bit today. Interesting to see how it goes. x

  11. Hope you feel better soon! I had a lump under my armpit and after driving myself crazy with worry found out it was a cyst and nothing to worry about.
It’s good to see shops reopening and slowly returning to normal, but fail to understand the mentality of people who queue up and act like it’s the first day of the sales.
I won’t be chancing any large stores until I feel confident to do so, and then I be masked up and have a supply of hand sanitiser with me,

    1. I know I saw pictures of queues and I was like come on! I know we all want some new things but really?!

  12. Hope you are okay and feeling a little better soon. Everything is so uncertain at the moment,

  13. Completely agree about things moving too quickly! Whilst we in Scotland are waiting to see which route we’ll be taking – will we be waiting for complete eradication like my fambam in Kiwiland, or will we start slowly reopening later today? I guess we’ll find out at lunch time!

  14. Restrictions have eased here but there have been some smaller scale spikes occurring so everyone’s on the hand sanitiser every time we go out.

  15. We are definitely feeling it, being in lockdown since Friday, March 13. It feels like so long ago now!

    1. Oh wow yeah – we went into it a bit earlier than it was announced as well, as we both have conditions which could make getting it bad.

  16. I’m concerned how quickly things are reopening. It’s like folks have gotten bored with the virus and are living normally. This makes me very nervous as cases are rising here locally.

    1. Yes definitely! It really is like that :(, I hope numbers keep going down but I do worry they will spike back up.

  17. Hope the lump under your armpit goes away and doesn’t get worse. Nice that you have a side gate and could have your parents around in the garden., it must have been lovely to see them.

    1. Thank you! It really was – we are lucky in how things are laid out so it does mean we can meet and social distance.

  18. Sorry to hear about the lump in the armpit…probably something and nothing but always best to get it checked…I hope all goes ok.
Love how you have been to the chippy too, I love some chippy chips x

    1. Thank you – it seems like it might pop up every time I get some sort of infection so hey at least it lets me know LOL.

  19. My advice to others would be to get outside every day, even if it’s just for 5 minutes! Really helps boost your mood.

  20. I am the same – i feel like we are reopening everything too fast and i feel quite anxious about life going back to ‘normality’. Hope you week is looking more positive now x

    1. Thank you so much! It’s been a bit of a week this week, but thankfully not virus related lol.

  21. Your answer to question 4 is so true and one everyone should hear. Just because other people are going to the shops as soon as it reopened doesn’t mean that you have to straight away, everyone is different

  22. Hope you get to the bottom of your lump. I cannot believe the amount of people out shopping, but I guess it is a lot of people’s release from stress

  23. We are not in lockdown here anymore. I never really stopped doing much when we were locked down. I still went out and got my groceries like normal. My family has done a lot more together since it though, so that is wonderful. I’m not planning on going anywhere fun this year though. I’ll continue with my regular food shopping, but that’s about it.

  24. I am still avoiding the bigger shops at the moment and only doing essential or online shopping. Don’t agree with everything being open so soon especially with the second wave in Australia and China but I guess everyone is getting impatient now.

    1. Definitely I think it will be interesting (not sure that’s the right word) to see what happens here.

  25. I want to go round the little shops near me too but I am leaving it for a while. I can’t wait for charity shops to open up as I have so much to give them haha – spent lockdown getting stuff ready for them!

    1. Haha – I think they are slowly starting to open again now from what I’ve seen at least.

  26. Sorry you’re feeling rough Sarah. Personally I think we are in for a second wave. I looked at those photos of the queues for Primark and Selfridges and thought there are bound to be some people who get infected as there was no social distancing. And did you see the pics of Bicester Village?! I’m glad Wales is taking a much more cautious approach, although I won’t lie, it’s getting tougher by the day.

    1. Yes! I saw it trending on Twitter and I was like why’s it trending and then well I had no words! No social distancing at all! I think there were a lot of calls for it to be closed down again wasn’t there?

  27. Hope you feel better soon I used to have a lump under my belly button that came and went . They said it was a piece of gristle nothing harmful but probably just came away through straining . I’m not sure about things going back to.normal yet especially the shops as they are doing sales which will have people piling in. I want to see my grandson more than anything . I need those hugs x

    1. Our bodies do strange things don’t they? I’m not sure if it’s perhaps just me being over-stressed at the world LOL.

  28. I’m worried about how quickly things are opening back up too. I won’t be heading out anytime soon, I’d rather wait and see what effect shops opening etc has on the number of cases.

    1. Definitely we had to go out yesterday and I really didn’t like it. I jumped straight in the shower to feel better.

  29. I hope you feel better soon. I’m glad you were able to see your parents, even it was at a distance. Our area is opening up too, but we’re staying home as much as possible. I am concerned that a lot of people are not taking the guidelines seriously.

  30. I hope you are feeling better soon. I am also a bit nervous about how fast things are opening up. I will not be rushing out to the stores or restaurants just yet.

  31. Things have been loosening and re-opening by us but I’m still too nervous to go anywhere public. I have been seeing out immediate family though, but that’s really all!

    1. It’s hard, isn’t it? I think it will be a long time until I feel comfortable like I did before.

  32. Hopefully life gets better for you, my life is finally getting back to normal and lockdown is finally getting lifted.

  33. I hope you find the reason and a cure for that lump. I am coping pretty well with all the quarentining but I hope we get back to the way things used to be soon.

    1. Thank you so much – it is strange isn’t it. I’m not sure I’ll feel comfortable with the world for a while.

  34. My life hasn’t changed that much since lock down started honestly. It helps that I worked from home prior to all of this! So I am used to being here. I also happen to be a huge home-body so I welcome being “forced” to stay home, haha!

    1. Haha that is definitely a plus, I’m the same but I hate doing what I’m told, so being told to stay at home makes me want to go out lol.

  35. This is the first time i think in the history of the planet the COVID has impacted every human being on the planet. For extroverts like me this is a challenge and I think writing and being grateful for everything has helped me. Thanks for talking about these things and how it impacts our mental health.

    1. It is hard isn’t it? It is scary what the full impact will be and I don’t think we will know that for a few years.

  36. I hope you feel better! Yes, there’s a spike here, which is a little concerning. I hate not knowing what will be happening.

  37. aww hope you’re getting better- its crazy how were having a few stores open where we live but I’m too nervous to go out with the entire family still.

  38. A bit of an unsettled week for you this week. I’m the same, still worried about how quick places are opening up. I certainly won’t be going out shopping soon. The ques are ridiculous. I’m glad you got to see your parents, bitter sweet though when you can’t hug them. I hope you feel better soon and have a better week x

    1. Definitely I just want to give them a hug! The queues are crazy! I mean I wouldn’t be able to stand in one but even so I can’t imagine queuing for Primark!

  39. I hope you are feeling better soon, I used to get a lump appear in my armpit can not remember what it was now but hope yours gets sorted soon. I am worried at how quickly we are opening up and more so by the queues of people wanting to get into shops that was on the news x

    1. Thank you so much! It is madness isn’t it 🙁 hopefully, people start to be a bit more sensible.
