  1. The drains thing has been a big thing around here – we definitely got some localised flooding due to them this week – it was crazy to see! Hopefully, they can be cleared properly soon, I know some residences all went out and tried their best to unblock them somewhat.

  2. I have tried to keep a routine during this lock down . It’s hard as one can get depressed and lonely although we have been luck that there is so much technology that allows us to keep contact with our family and friends.

  3. I think the mental health implications of this lockdown and people having to be at home are MASSIVE and so many people are going to need a lot of help in a system that is already, frankly pretty broken. I am off to look up your new diagnosis as I think I know what it is, but I am not sure. I can imagine it’s hard to have that added to process during all this.
I am glad you got to see your parents, but I am the same, I just want to hug people. And I am not a hugger, so what has this all done to me.
    We carry on, I guess?

    1. Definitely it’s been a weird process as I’ve been introduced to new people who are part of my “care system” and it’s all over the phone and I HATE phones. It’s so so stressful – I just, I hope I can meet up with professionals after it all and talk face to face.

  4. Cant believe we’re on week 10! It gone by so fast but it also feels like ages?!
I’ve been keeping up y workouts daily and learning Illustrator! x

  5. It’s pretty much the same here with a few slight modifications. It was different when school was in though.

  6. We haven’t seen any other family member yet, but yes I bet it feels like a surreal experience! Can’t wait though.

  7. Your candles look amazing, I really need to stock up on my candle collection as it is running way to low at the moment.

    1. Honestly, there is nothing like a good candle is there? I get through them so quickly as well.

  8. Sounds like a great candle. I hope everything will be fine soon and we could live a normal life again.

  9. I love that you are able to reflect on things and be honest about it, as that is so important to do especially in these tough times. I don’t know why, but even I am having weird dreams! Unfortunately, I can’t sleep though much nowadays due to all the stress

    1. Apparently it has something to do with waking up more naturally we are more likely to remember them then, though I’m not sure I 100% agree as I can remember mine quite vividly even when the alarm wakes me up lol.

  10. Even though not normal, I am so glad that you got to go to your parents for dinner. Also love the look of that candle too xx

  11. Yes life in lockdown is different and difficult, we made it 10th week, still lot of things happening and going on. I like your post and candles.

    1. Definitely it is nice that things are slowly come out and changing in some ways but also a worry.

  12. Yes, we are not in lockdown any more but we are far away from normality. I think I prefer lockdown until everything is more clear outside.

  13. This is such a weird crazy time. So ready for some since of normal but not sure when that will come. Love the candles you mentioned.

  14. Lockdown has a big impact on our everyday lives some maybe in a negative sides. But my family and I had high hopes that one day it will be ok again .

  15. I’ve been up and down also strange nightmares living with anxiety is pretty hard at this time . Loving your candles I’m a candleholic I have to admit . Missing my little grandson I just want to see him now it’s been too long

    1. Oh bless you – can you see him now with the new rule over 1 person? I find that so strange so a single parent and child could go and see a pair of grandparents, or a single grandparent could go and see a parents and child, but if there’s more than 1 person in 1 household you can’t?!

  16. You know how much I love candles so I now want all of the ones you’ve mentioned haha. So glad you got to see your parents.

  17. It has been such a long process, we are gradually letting up on restrictions and returning to normalcy here. I’m glad you got to spend time with your parents though during all of this.

    1. Definitely I think going back to normal will be very weird for many of us as it comes around.

  18. I think we’re all being gradually ‘ground down’ by this experience – I am definitely running out of steam. Here in Wales practically nothing has changed. I thought about going to see my parents as you did but I’m still too nervous to do it. They are both in their 80s so at the tip of the high risk scale. I’m glad you managed to spend time with them.

    1. It was nice to do but we were so careful, we didn’t go inside and they didn’t come outside, it was hard in many ways to be honest.

  19. Wow 10 weeks I dont think we have to last much longer , but it’s weird it’s gone by in a blur

    1. It has gone past at a weird rate hasn’t it – hopefully we don’t get a second wave and we will be able to come out now.

  20. Thanks for sharing how your week went. For me, it is the same since the lock down started – walking to and from the grocery store, pharmacy, and my sister’s house to check on her daughter. Today, I had to take our dog to the vet because he has an ear infection. Poor fur baby, he had to go into the clinic alone. I was not allowed inside because of the social distancing rule. 🙁

    1. Oh no poor thing – I hope your doggo gets the help he needs, it must have been so hard seeing them go in without you.

  21. The lockdown has been a mixed bag and now, it is more confusing, we’re still not sure when we will get back to full normality. The promise of the vaccine is the hope we have now. Fingers crossed to the time we can get back to full normality.

    1. Definitely everything seems so mixed up at the moment, what should we or shouldn’t we be doing.

  22. A few highs and lows for you this week and I hope things can get a little better for you. Lovely that you got to see your parents, but I can imagine it being very hard not t o give them a hug yet. How lovely is that Lileth Bubbasmelty candle?! What a great compantly they are to do what they do. Take each day as it comes, your doing great x

    1. It was so weird and hard – I struggled with it in many ways but glad we got to spend some time with them as I used to see them so often. It is so good it smells amazing!

  23. I’m glad you were able to have dinner with your parents! I just met my granddaughter for the first time this weekend, she is 2 months old. Like you, I’m concerned about a second wave. My daughter has been protesting in NYC and while I’m really proud of her, I’m also worried about her safety and her health.

    1. Oh my goodness I bet that must have been amazing to go and meet your granddaughter, after so long of waiting.

  24. I’m glad you were finally able to see your parents. The restrictions have eased in my state, but I am afraid we are in for a second wave.

    1. I feel the same about here, we in England have come out a lot quicker than Wales, Scotland and NI and I think sadly that is going to come back to haunt us.

  25. What a cool candle! I love supporting small stores.

Ive had odd dreams as well. And I wish I could sleep more, but alas, I have kids and cats who insist I be up and meet their needs.

  26. Aww that’s so lovely you got to see your parents again this week! I saw my family for the first time since lockdown and although surreal it was so perfect 🙂

  27. I love scented candles and the ones you bought look really interesting. I hope they smell as nice as they look

  28. I think normal will be very different for a while to come – I’m hoping so much that we won’t spike in the weeks to come as we definitely aren’t listening to the science in the way we are reopening.

  29. I’ve been having weird dreams too! Last night I had a dream that my parents sent me to this weird dystopian 100 years in the future high school to cure my depression. It was so bizarre.

    1. Oh wow, that’s so weird – last night I was swimming through like a river system with other people, I was meant to be holding onto someone for some reason but they got swept away and all I had was a rope or something tied to them. Then I was trying to pick up things as we went past them because for some reason I needed to collect them as well as hold onto this person?!

  30. I love this lockdown diary, it is such a great way to track the weeks and something to lock back on.

Dinner with your parents must have been amazing. I didn’t see my Dad this week, he didn’t need any bulky shopping delivered and the rain meant I couldn’t sit in his Garden, its a real killer not seeing him but just as hard when I do but I can’t give him a hug x

    1. Yeah, I asked them if we could do it again this week but the weather is going to put it a bay 🙁 which is a shame.

  31. It seems that everyones routines are all over the place at the moment. I am so glad you managed to see your parents must have been weird not being able to hug them. It sounds like you have needed to sleep x

    1. Definitely I just wanted to give my Mum such a big hug! One day soon I can only hope.

  32. It really is strange. We are on week 11 up here and lockdown restrictions are a little behind England. I am with you on the dreams and sleeping has been strange. I am working full time from home and the kids are at homeschool. I love those candles. Will have a look at them. xxx
