  2. We do equine therapy with my autistic little boy (who was terrified of animals) and he absolutely loves it, the difference in him is amazing

  3. I honestly think and animal can help with mental health! I know my dog never fails to make me feel better. My 16 year old daughter is the same, she also has a pet frog and even that lifts her mood haha!

  4. me and horses do not get on! as a kid I had a friends shetland pony stamp on my foot, and in Mexico went riding and had all these insects from the horse bury themselves in my leg, caused me 6 months of hell with infected elephant size legs, so will give them a miss from now on

  5. I have honestly never heard of this. To be honest, I can’t remember ever being in close contact with a horse. But it does make so much sense and proof how we can and should live in harmony with animals.

  6. My son is autistic and goes to a therapeutic horse riding place once a fortnight and he loves it. It’s so amazing to watch him work with the horses

  7. I can understand how this works and helps people with mental health problems but I would think that owning a dog has similar benefits and is more accessible and cheaper than horse therapy

  8. As a former rider I can easily understand the benefits but this is probably financially out of reach for most people
