  1. Thank you for the trip down memory lane. I was smiling from the first paragraph.
My favourite fashion item from the 80s that I still wear today is leggings.

  2. I’m not a ‘dedicated follower of fashion’ so didn’t buy into the 80s wholeheartedly. I do love lace though, so am glad to see it making a comeback

  3. I remember during my teenager years, my mum used to try and pass down her 80s clothes to me to wear to school. We were both size 10 and shoe size 5 so it made sense too. But I remember how I used to look at those bright, neon, over the top patterned clothes with disgust. Then somewhere in the 2000s, 80s fashion came back in. Now I came from a very poor background so being in trend was never my thing until the 80s fashion was popular again.

I remember one day after school I screamed, ‘Mum! Where is your bag of old clothes?”. Suddenly, me and my leg warmers, laced black boots, neon blue tights and bright pink t shirt made me look so cool. Now I have never been cool so this was so new to me. Because of this, 80s fashion is definitely one of my favourites.

  4. Oh My Gosh I loved the 80’s, My teenage years, plenty of disco’s, Fab Music and fabulous fashions. I especially loved me puffball and Ra Ra Skirts x

  5. I was born in 85 so most of my childhood was the 90s but I still adore the 80s, the clothing, the music, tv shows i’d say it was a good time to be a kid. I miss it a lot. The 80’s also produced my fave ever movie – Labyrinth

  6. I was a teenager in the 80’s I loved the ‘futurist’ style, electronic music from Gary Numan, Depeche Mode, Human League, Kraftwerk, Soft Cell, lots of black eyeliner, back combed hair and androgynous looks for male and female. It was all so exciting and boundary challenging back then.

  7. This was my youthful heyday! We didn’t really wear what the stars did but there were strong trends and definitely shoulder pads. Please leave big hair perms in the past

  8. I cant say I would welcome back the fashion trends of the 80s, I wasn’t a huge fan first time round so happy to leave this in the past
