What if the stress, anxiety and overthinking you experience every day isn’t really who you are at all?
That’s the idea explored in DHRASTI! The Perception, a new release from Pratiqk Jaani, explores how perception and conditioning can quietly shape how we move through life.
In a world where so many people feel stuck in cycles of pressure, comparison, and emotional exhaustion, the book encourages readers to pause and rethink the beliefs and patterns that influence their everyday experiences. Rather than promising an overnight transformation, DHRASTI! The Perception focuses on awareness, clarity, and learning, hopefully helping you respond to life differently.
The book explores themes of stress, anxiety, fulfilment, and emotional well-being, while also encouraging readers to consider how much of modern life is shaped by the constant pursuit of success, status, or external validation.
About DHRASTI! The Perception

Described as a practical, perspective-shifting guide, the book explores how changing how we perceive the world around us can have a huge impact on our emotional well-being.
Throughout the book, readers are encouraged to look beyond automatic reactions and recognise the conditioning behind many of their thoughts, fears and behaviours. Topics explored include stress and anxiety, scarcity thinking, emotional awareness and learning how to create a calmer internal state without disconnecting from real life.
The book also touches on the idea that success and fulfilment are not always the same thing, something many readers may find especially relatable in today’s fast-paced world.

I’ve been reading Chris Kamara biography and it is so much fun
I have just read Camilla by Fanny Burney. The longest book I have ever read full of poetic, 18th century language. I found it quite addictive after the initial shock. All the time I was reading it I was reminded of Jane Austen’s books not knowing until I had a chat with AI about it that Burney wrote before Austen but was a huge influence on Austen’s work. Austen’s masterpiece was originally titled First Impressions. When she renamed it Pride and Prejudice, she is thought to have lifted the phrase directly from the final pages of Burney’s 1782 novel, Cecilia. In it, a character proclaims: “The whole of this unfortunate business… has been the result of pride and prejudice.
great book
It took me a while but I’ve just finished Pachinko which is a multi-generational story following an immigrant Korean family in Japan. I learnt a lot about a history I didn’t know about
