Festive Fancy Dress Ideas for the Whole Family with MorphCostumes
I think there’s something about Christmas that gives everyone an excuse to be a little bit silly.
No matter if it’s wearing a ridiculous Christmas jumper, putting on a Santa hat or going all out in fancy dress, there are plenty of ways to get into the festive spirit.
And while I’m not sure everyone would be brave enough to turn up to Christmas dinner dressed as a reindeer, I do think there’s something quite fun about people who are happy to embrace it all.
So, if you’re planning a Christmas party, getting together with family or just fancy doing something a little different this year, MorphCostumes have some rather amusing festive costumes worth looking at.
Kids Santa Pick Me Up Inflatable Costume

I have to admit, some of the inflatable costumes available these days are absolutely ridiculous. In the best possible way, of course.
Take the Kids Santa Pick Me Up Inflatable Costume, for example.
At first glance, it looks as though Father Christmas has decided to pick someone up and carry them away!
Of course, it’s all an illusion, with the costume making it appear as though Santa is doing the carrying while the person inside walks around.
It has a built-in fan that inflates the costume in under a minute, although you’ll need to provide the batteries separately.
Priced at £36.99, I can imagine this one getting quite a few laughs at a Christmas party.
Santa Piggyback Costume

And if the adults are feeling left out, there’s a version for them too.
The Santa Piggyback Costume takes a slightly different approach, making it look as though you’re riding around on Father Christmas’s back.
I think this is the sort of costume where you couldn’t possibly take yourself seriously while wearing it, which is probably half the fun.
It costs £40.99 and comes in one size, designed for adults between 5’4″ and 6’4″.
Toddler Reindeer Costume

Of course, not everyone wants to wander around looking as though they’re being carried by Santa.
Sometimes a more traditional festive outfit is just as much fun.
For younger children, MorphCostumes have a Toddler Reindeer Costume, which is a brown jumpsuit complete with antlers and a red nose on the hood.
It’s designed for ages one to four and costs £15.99.
I think reindeer costumes are one of those things that work for all sorts of festive occasions, from Christmas parties to family photographs or simply dressing up at home.
Women’s Reindeer Costume

And reindeer aren’t just for the little ones either.
The Women’s Reindeer Costume is a slightly different take on the idea, with a brown dress, cream front and attached tail, along with a choker and antler headband.
It’s available in small, medium and large and is priced at £39.99.
I quite like that it’s recognisably festive without having to dress as Father Christmas. After all, Santa gets plenty of attention already!
Christmas Is a Good Excuse to Have Some Fun
I think sometimes we get so caught up in everything that needs doing at Christmas that we forget it’s supposed to be enjoyable too.
There’s the shopping, the wrapping, the food and all those little things that somehow end up on the to-do list.
So perhaps there’s something to be said for embracing the sillier side of the season.
You don’t need to organise a huge party or spend a fortune to have a bit of fun. Sometimes it’s just about doing something that makes people smile.
So, whether that means going all out with an inflatable Santa costume or simply popping on some reindeer antlers, there’s no rule saying Christmas has to be serious.
If you’re thinking about dressing up this year, it’s worth checking the sizing and costume details before ordering, particularly with inflatable outfits.
