Autumn lounge change around
I love the idea of changing your home as the seasons go by, it doesn’t have to be in a huge way, but perhaps in just a small way – a nod to what mother nature is doing outside, however while small is doable, that doesn’t stop me dreaming big.
This autumn I would love to bring some change to my lounge and for the little touches. I would start by adding some sort of floor lamp to the room, while darkness happens where ever in the year you happen to be, with the evenings drawing in, it is much more noticeable that the light is fading and while I am still trying to work, a good lamp would make blogging and reading a lot more lit up.
I adore cushions and Pierrot et Coco have just a wonderful collection of them, from spots to zigzags and random splashes of colour. However for me, it just has to be, this gorgeous elephant print number; just check them walking out two by two.
I’m not one for a mirrors, I mean they just let you see yourself, but this one just captured my heart. I love just how different it is from the norm with its sun shine look and I have to admit it reminds me more of an autumn sun than a summer one.
I love my home, but some things are definitely getting on a bit now and one of those in the sofa (yes I did accidently stick my knee through it in one place) and it is most definitely not as comfortable as it once was. So while window shopping for the perfect seat I came across this beauty from Cookes Furniture. Hand crafted in Derbyshire this gorgeous three seater sofa is also a recliner, making it so easy to relax in style.
Last but by no means least, is this beautiful solid oak table – I am always drawn to oak, I love the colour and the grain and with the two draws it would make for the perfect way to add a little extra storage into the home.
How about you, do you often dream of changing your rooms with the seasons?

I love the lamp and cushion. These would all look great together for a very autumnal feel x
I would love to make wholesale changes to furnishings but budget makes these impractical so I like to change out accessories. Love a lot of mood lighting, helps when shutting the cold out 🙂
I am always thinking of how I can change my rooms around, really lovely choices and good ideas thanks.
Lovely items, I wouldn’t mind them either 😉
I love the elephant cushion best, but beautiful choices 🙂 x
Such fun choices. I don’t really change any of the larger items…but I do decorate a little for fall. 🙂
I would love to but I usually just end up changing out accent pieces like throw pillows and the like.
these are a great roundup to add at home.
I love that elephant pillow. Its gorgeous. I would put that in my home office.
I need that table in my house. It is the perfect size.
My middle child would go absolutely crazy for that elephant pillow. I am going to have to think about getting it for her!
These are really all cute items. I don’t change my main furniture with each season but I definitely change a lot of the smaller decorative items. I have fall, Christmas and spring/summer bins and I keep them well stocked and love changing everything with each season.
It is the time of year to change things up a bit, isn’t it?
The elephant cushion is to die for! I’d love to get it for my living room.
You are speaking my language. Change things up with the season
That lamp is pretty cool! I wish I could change my furniture with the seasons. I need a money tree stat!
We don’t change with the seasons, but we do with the holidays. Every month or so, new decorations go up, so I feel it never gets stale in our home.
We’ve been talking about making some changes in our living room. My daughter will be taking some of our furniture when she graduates college in December so it’s the perfect time for us to redecorate.
I love the elephant and the mirror. I would love to decorate with seasons as they change. My daughter loves when I put out holiday seasonal items out and it’s so fun to watch her excitement. I find it relaxing when my place is decorated with my own taste.
I’d love to be able to change things around more often. Unfortunately lack of both time and money tend to stop me 🙁
Those are great pieces but I especially love the elephant pillow! I’m a huge elephant fan!
I love the elephant pillow! It looks cute!
I try to decorate for the changing seasons and holidays but fail epic like.
I love the products. They will really add to any room.
Great choices you made, and yes I do love to change up my decor with the seasons. I haven’t done it yet though, but I want to!
Oh how I love that elephant pillow. So sweet!
I love that oak coffee table! Gorgeous! I’m always wanting to redecorate…my husband is probably glad that I don’t have a lot of time to do so LOL
I often dream of changing the decor of my house for each season, however my bank account does not agree with me. Thank you for your tips maybe I will be able to make small cost effective changes.
I love the safari pillow, only I’d have a koala on it, rather than an elephant. I am obsessed with koalas!
I find the onset of Autumn depressing but this has made me think more positively about it.
That elephant cushion is really cool. I think moving your furniture around gives your room a fresh look. It’s also nice to have new accessories as the season changes.
If I was a millionaire I would def change my rooms with the seasons! I love walking into homes with awesome decor such as this.
I do this with my bedroom. I love leaving the walls completely white that way I can make the changes as I want. This summer I went with a tan and a very light blue green. This fall I am switching to a dark brown with a more darker blue. Next year it may be yellow and gray who knows with the white background I am free to change it anyway I want. But like you I usually change it with the seasons. Light and airy for spring and summer something darker, thicker for winter same with the master bathroom!
Lovely mirror!
I love the sofa. It looks so comfortable and the fact that it reclines makes it so much better.
We just moved into a new home, so I am looking for new ways to decorate. I just bought some end tables for the living room and will be adding lamps eventually. I think decor can really make a home comfortable.
That mirror is really cool looking! I have a perfect spot for it in my dining room.
