4 Unique Decor Ideas
We all want our home to show off some of our personality and there are so many things we can do to make that happen.
There is something for everyone and ideas to make our home decor be something really unique if we just look out there for it.
I thought I would share with you today 4 unique decor ideas you might like to incorporate into your home.

Reclaimed Items.
There is something wonderful about using reclaimed items in the home.
Be it something someone else has made out of reclaimed wood, or an item you have upcycled yourself.
This type of decor can be as cheap or expensive as your pocket allows. From items picked up on freecycle, which you work on yourself. To items found on Etsy or similar websites, that have been handmade by experts.
Play With Glass.
Companies such as The Glass Wearhouse, work with glass in a whole host of interesting ways, both for the home and trade.

They can help you bring all sorts of glass based items into your home, from unique shower doors and splashbacks. To item for your conservatory, fire glass and even mirrors.
The obscure range, in particular, offers some interesting ideas for the bathroom.
Experiment with Lighting.
The way light enters your home can make all the difference in how it feels inside. This works both with natural and artificial lighting.
One of the great things about this, is it really means you can play with how the room feels.
From different fabrics at the windows to lights which throw different colours or shadows when on. There is so much you can do.

Allow Yourself To Do What You Want.
Sometimes in our homes, it is so easy to follow the trends, however, your home is for you. Somewhere for you to feel happy and at ease.
So most of all when it comes to your home, follow your heart, if your home is full of clashing colours that’s fine, full of big and bold statement pieces awesome!
Let your heart decide what your home looks like, it doesn’t need to be straight of an Instagram picture as long as you love it.

The living room is my favourite place in my home. I love my wall gallery where I put up our B&W travel photos.
Love this advice and the ideas. I don’t think I have a favourite area at the moment; nothing is quite how I want it. It’s great to get some inspiration, thank you.
I like my craft area best, even if it is chaos to the untrained eye haha
Really lovely ideas. My favourite place in our home is our bedroom. We’ve chalk painted all our old pine furniture and I’ve hung pretty lights around mirrors. It all looks so fresh and pretty.
My bedroom is my favourite place in my home, I have a super Kings size bed and often lay there for 5 minutes through the day to take 5, we have to move soon as my fiance has ill health and we live in a maisonette with two flights of stairs which are to much for him, so we’ve also had to put decorating on pause xx
Love this post. I love to upcycle furniture and think it is important to furnish & decorate your home as you like it and not always what is the latest trend.
Experimenting with lighting is a great tip! I found that an RGB bulb makes my carpet look a much nicer colour!
I love these ideas! When I will b decorating my house I will be like a crazy person! I love so much all those beautiful little things
Ohh enjoy decorating your home – it is always such an interesting time!
I loved the last part you wrote – “it doesn’t need to be straight of an Instagram picture as long as you love it.” That is something people need to remember. After all we did that before we had computers with pinterest and instagram!
I think what we think others have is so messed up by these perfect photos – we need to remember that’s just one moment not the whole the thing.
Follow you heart. That is the best piece of advice! beautiful post.
Most definitely you need to use what speaks to you.
All of this are purely awesome. I like how simple and elegant it looked like. The 2nd one is definitely my favorite.
They are lovely ideas aren’t they – so much you can do around the home.
We are thinking of shifting our house soon. I will keep these four decor ideas in mind. I do love reclaimed furniture and glass in the house. Plus lighting can brighten a dull area.
It is amazing how nice reclaimed and reloved pieces can look isn’t it.
Nothing matches in my home and a lot of time I feel like it clashes lol. But I do love the way it makes me feel cozy. I’m going to use your decor ideas as I tackle the teen cave I’m making Tyler.
As long as you love it what does it matter! I have to admit I like all different items as well.
I agreed with your point that home is a place where we ‘ourselves’ feel comfortable so we should just not only follow the trend but the ones that make us feel good and comfortable.
Most definitely – no point just making it look one way as you think you should and not really liking it.
I like both of your decor idea I will try to incorporate the lightning tips in to my home.
Thank you – I hope they help you with some new ideas.
It is the simple things that made the biggest statement!
It really is at times isn’t it.
I love to find things that other people have used and loved but work well in my house. I am glad I am not the only one.
It is nice isn’t it – to give something a new lease of life.
