No we usually drive our car to cottages in England, our car is broken so we weren’t planning a holiday this year but a hire car is definitely an option depending on price, we would have to stay in Wales too as my fiance has heart failure after a massive heart attack so wouldn’t be able to drive far xx

  3. When I was quite little my family took a train across Canada. It was such a beautiful trip, even though I was only 5, I can still remember a lot of it. I’d love to take another train ride like that.

  5. I really would love to take a trip on a train for our next vacation. I’ve been on small park trains, but nothing large scale.

  7. Train travel is one of my favorites! Whenever I need to go anywhere I prefer to stay on the ground…I’m not a great fly-er so I always check into train options!

  8. My mom still talks about taking a train through Europe, almost 40 years ago. It was so out of the ordinary for her.

  9. I don’t know if I could do that cable car or not. I am pretty afraid of heights, but I have done some other things with that kind of height and survived it.

  11. We’re traveling by bus this summer, which is a first for our family. I’m super excited to not have to be the one driving this time. Hovercraft does sound really enjoyable too though!

  12. I am so going to travel on a hovercraft next time I travel. That sounds like fun. I love all of these ideas. I wouldn’t mind doing a car hire either. I tend to use Uber a ton when I travel.

  15. I love traveling by train. I have taken a train from Boston to Washington DC a couple of times and it was such a nice ride.

  16. Been thinking about a canal boat this year. I went on one at school and loved it. Cheap option for a quick, private break. Don’t have to find someone to look after doggies and guinea pig either, sling ’em on!

  17. Have never been in a cable car although they do have them in Llandudno will have to give it a go next time we visit.
