  2. Really lovely ideas. My favourite place in our home is our bedroom. We’ve chalk painted all our old pine furniture and I’ve hung pretty lights around mirrors. It all looks so fresh and pretty.

  3. My bedroom is my favourite place in my home, I have a super Kings size bed and often lay there for 5 minutes through the day to take 5, we have to move soon as my fiance has ill health and we live in a maisonette with two flights of stairs which are to much for him, so we’ve also had to put decorating on pause xx

  11. I agreed with your point that home is a place where we ‘ourselves’ feel comfortable so we should just not only follow the trend but the ones that make us feel good and comfortable.

  13. We have totally fallen into a decorating rut. I’ll have to give some of your ideas a try! I really need to change up our home decor.

  14. For me, I like a space to envoke a feeling without being obvious. For example, my living room area should say “beach” due to the lightness, color scheme and accessories (although NONE of the accessories have the word beach on them.)

  15. I do agree, no matter what the trend is if it ain’t your style, you’ll be bothered by it. So do what you want.

  16. These are great ideas. I particularly need to improve upon the natural lighting in my home, especially in my kitchen as I am always photographing the dishes I cook.

  17. I can’t wait to get our own home so we can play around with decor more as I was limited in my old flat and now I’m back at home x

  18. Some lovely ideas there. After my expensive glass coffee table spontaneously cracked and needed to be removed from the house, I popped into a charity furniture shop and had a great time looking around. I ended up replacing my table with a smaller one for the sum of £5.00. Very practical!

  28. I think lighting is really key to any space – my current office is small with only one small window which can be really dreary so having adding a lamp or two is a great idea.

  29. My husband and I are always trying to figure out new ways to JAZZ up our living space. So I appreciate these decor ideas! 🙂
