  1. Great blog, oral hygiene is so important, I hate my smile, I always have avoided smiling because I should have got braces when I was younger and I dislike my teeth and my smile

  2. I am really frustrated that you cannot get dental appointments at the moment as one of my teeth is going wonky. Still, wearing masks keeps it hidden at the moment

    1. It’s really strange as it seems to be so different in areas, I was offered a dental appointment which I turned down as I didn’t need to go.

    1. It must be hard trying to make sure you pass on the knowledge. I’m not good at telling myself how it is all done.

  12. I’m always smiling. Altho I don’t have the perfect smile 🙂 My tenths are healthy but coffee left some marks on them, they need whitening. But still that doesn’t stop me from smiling.

  13. All my children had to wear braces. I never regretted the money that we spent to have their teeth aligned. It really gave a big boost to their confidence. I believe good oral hygiene, regular visits to the dentist and a positive attitude all contribute to a great smile.

    1. I am glad I had mine done, I wish I had known I had to wear my retainer for life, rather than stopping at 18!

  15. Great tips here, I am trying hard not to smile as still got a broken front tooth from lockdown and our dentist is only dealing with emergencies still and this is apparently not an emergency. I am considering other treatments and even looked at implants

  17. I hadnt really thought about impriving a smile, but they can be infectious as you can get other people to smile with you, smile more and your ay can be better.

  21. Some great tips to having the perfect smile. I am like you and can feel my teeth moving as I was never given or told to wear a retainer after my braces.

    1. It’s rubbish isn’t it – mine was basically just my brace in it’s finished position and I was told to wear it until I was 18.

  23. I feel like Buddy the Elf when I say this but I genuinely love smiling. Wearing a mask is so hard because I am always smiling at people but now they don’t know! I actually made a young child cry the other day, I was smiling but forgot he couldn’t see that and I must have just looked crazy!

    Good oral hygiene is really important and certainly gives us confidence in our smile.
