5 Things to do on a Spring Day
I wrote a couple of weeks ago about how I am suffering from the cold quite badly.
I sit huddled under blankets and anything that peaks out gets chilled so quickly.
Now I’ve admitted before, either of the extremes; hot or cold, gets to me. However, that doesn’t mean I am not dreaming of it getting a bit warmer.
Of the days I don’t worry about being chilled from the bone.
So with Spring around the corner, I’ve come up with 5 things to do on a spring day.

Go for a Spring Walk.
Spring is the time when nature starts to come alive again and it is the perfect time to head for a walk on a sunny spring day.
Bluebell forests, for instance, come into their own during April and May and make for the most pretty locations. Not only to walk but to have a photoshoot as well.
Work in your Garden.
If your garden is looking a bit worse of winter, then spring is the perfect time to get out there and start making a difference.
It is the perfect time to plant things such as: lettuce, kale, broccoli for those wanting to start a veggie patch.
While cutting back bushes and hedges is another garden job that can now be done.

Spring Clean.
Spring is the time when energy levels often pick up, so why not spring clean!
From mopping the flowers and clearing away the cobwebs, to going through your wardrobe to make space for new clothes or shoes, from places like Damartex UK.
Go For a Bike Ride.
If walking is not your thing then how about taking a bike ride.
Hitting a trail, going for a ride down by a canal, or just through a scenic route that runs nearby.
The fresh air will help a lot and who doesn’t want to feel the wind through their hair.

Jump in Puddles.
Go on I DARE YOU.
Walk out your door, find the nearest spring puddle and jump in it.

Everyone loves spring! And this list just sums up all the great things to do during this season.
It is just the perfect time of year isn’t it.
These are all great activities to do once Spring comes around. I wanted to start gardening this year and my son would love to splash around in puddles. Seems like we know what we’ll be doing from your list, thanks for sharing!
I hope you have a lovely spring full of puddle jumping and gardening!
I can’t wait for spring. My youngest has a bike and I think we will finally be able to do family bike rides.
Aww I hope you have some amazing bike rides this spring.
i live in Canada so our spring is too short but i am really excited for this time of the year to come! i like to go for a walk every other day in spring!
I hope you have a beautiful spring no matter how long it is!
Love everything but jumping in puddles! and your first pic is GORGEOUS!
Haha jumping in puddles seems to have really divided people.

Aww I hope you have a lovely time this Spring in everything you do!
Bike riding is my fave activity during spring. Jumping in puddles is something I need to add to my spring to-do list. 😉
Everyone needs to jump in a puddle or two 😉
Great and informative post. I love taking walks during spring, love the fresh air
The air in spring is amazing isn’t it – very refreshing to be in.
These are all wonderful ideas. Going for a spring walk is probably one of my favorites. I love taking walks when it’s spring time. It’s great to take in all that fresh air.
It is so nice to get out in the fresh air isn’t it and just breath in.
Great ideas! As much as I hate spring cleaning, once I start, I feel good about it and don’t want to stop. Then, when I sit back and see a clean house, I feel at peace and relaxed.
It does feel good when your home is clean doesn’t it.
My daffodils are already blooming meaning spring is right around the corner. I am most excited about my flower garden.
It is amazing to see them pop up our neighbour has some out!
All of these I must do except jump in a puddle lol. I am looking forward to Spring.
Haha I hope you have a wonderful spring!
Oh gosh I wish it were spring already! I can’t wait for it to be warm outside so I can get out there and do stuff!
It will be amazing wont it – I have had enough of winter!
I can’t wait for spring. Spring is my favorite season. I love the sun, the warm weather, the colors of flowers and trees. I just adore spring walks.
Spring is such a beautiful season isn’t it.
I want to start going on more Spring walks now the weather is getting a bit nicer. As we’re moving next week then spring cleaning is happening every single second of the day x
Ekk! Good luck with your move next week I really hope it goes well for you.
Spring is the best time here in Brisbane. It’s summer now and so DAMN hot.
My husband is looking forward to spring. We keep getting hit with snow here in Wisconsin and we are pretty tired of it. My husband is ready to go fishing! I am ready to give my home a nice deep cleaning.
I’ve seen there’s been more snow over there at the moment, we’ve managed to miss it so far this year.
I feel the same way I am so done with this cold weather. Bring on the spring I wanted to start being active again. Working out outside home makes me feel so good.
It is just too much isn’t it – winter seems to go on for ever.
This post carries hope.
We are getting more snow tonight and ice on top of that. I am clinging to your post like it is a hundred dollar bill.
We don’t have spring here but I guess it’s best to walk outdoors, catch fresh air and enjoy nature when it’s springtime. It’s the social media age so I think more people would want to take photos and post on Instagram.
I can’t imagine not having spring but of course so many places across the world don’t really have seasons.
I love being outside, we walk on trails and just go site seeing. My two oldest grandsons can now ride a bike so that is something we enjoy also!
There’s something so refreshing about being outside isn’t there.
These all sound like fun! I am usually working, in every season, so I don’t get to do much of anything else.
Ekk! I hope you manage to get out in Spring a little.
Great ideas! I love going on a spring walk, it’s lovely to see all the flowers popping up
It is so nice isn’t it – I noticed daffodils outside my neighbours the other day and it made me smile.
well I have had to give up puddle jumping because of my pre adolescent flash backs of mom yelling at me.So I have replaced that event with spring fishing!
Paula Stewart
Oh no! But I am glad you have something you can do in its place!
I love when the weather starts to get warmer out. Going for walks is the number one thing on my to-do list as well!
It is fantastic isn’t it, it can really lift your mood.
I like the sound of going for a spring walk or being in the garden, less so the spring clean as that involves cleaning lol
Haha that is very true, I’m not a huge spring cleaner either.
Lovely ideas – I like getting outdoors in the spring, just nice to have fresh air and the sun shining down and beautiful flowers blooming. xxx
It can make all the difference to how you feel can’t it.
I cant wait for spring to arrive. I love all the flowers when spring arrives.
I have started seeing some of them pop up and it definitely brings a smile to my face.
Spring cleaning and bike riding sound like the perfect spring activities.
I hope you have a lovely spring full of things you fancy doing.
There is always so much to do outside on the farm that we are outdoors all the time. We get plenty of yard work and all the things you mentioned.
I bet spring is an amazing time on a farm! I would love to see all the things going on.
I love taking a walk and jumping in puddles even as a adult is fun. As for my son and I we love dancing in the rain.
It sounds like you have the most fun times outside in spring.
I do need to start spring cleaning. I don’t have a garden though. I tend to kill plants.
Oh gosh, I have to admit I’m not that green-fingered either!
These are all wonderful ideas. I love going for walks and spending time in my garden.
There is something refreshing about fresh air and a little sun.
My boys are all home with really bad colds and as for me I am just fed up wrapping myself in blankets all the time. A nice walk would be great once it gets warmer.
Oh no I hope you are all feeling a lot better soon.
A bike ride actually sounds nice!!! I am sure so many people are counting down the day for spring. Los Angeles doesn’t get TOO terribly cold so I am not suffering right now, but I know a lot of people in LA are cause they can’t handle 50/60 degree temps! lol! I think they’re perfect for a bike ride!
I can’t imagine people finding that hard! Like at 60 degrees I got my tshirt and shorts on!
I am planning on doing some really deep spring cleaning the spring. Right now I still feel like it’s spring because it’s too cold outside but once the mood hits me this house will be screwed with an inch of its life lol.
Good luck with your spring cleaning, it always makes me feel better when the place is clean and tidy.
I believe I have a mild form of raynaud’s so I understand about suffering from the cold! My favourite thing to do on a spring day is walking my dogs in the local woods and wonder at the lovely snowdrops and bluebells when they emerge.
Oh no that isn’t good at all. There is something wonderful about walking with a dog!
