Umbra Teeter Photo Display: Review
I have to admit I love a good photo frame especially one that is different, one that you wouldn’t see in every home when you walk in – or if you do you know you will both have a giggle about owning the same one, so when I saw that Umbra sold this beautiful teeter photo display I just had to get a closer look at it.
The Umbra Teeter Photo Display was designed by Sung wook Park a Korean designer who works Umbra, he looks to bring happiness and an unique impression with all his designs which I had to say I think both this and the Swingus Photo Display (which I would say is a partner to this one) bring across to people in droves.
Umbra Teeter Photo Display.
I admit when it arrived I was surprised at how well made it is, I assumed it would be quite flimsy with the photos slipping in from the top. However I was completely wrong, the two photo frames slide along the base of the Teeter and you just remove the end plug from the rail to take them off, which then allows you to slip the photos in from the bottom of each frame.
The two frames both use glass, rather than plastic to cover the 2 3×3″ squares which are both double sided, the teeter can be set to stand on either side or perhaps if you are good enough at getting things to balance straight up.
Of course there are only two little boys I could think would be perfect for trying out this frame – Dobby and Sock.
I was surprised at how easy it was to get the photos into the frame once I got the hang of it – I did find it a little difficult to get them back onto the runners, but I was suffering with shakes quite badly at that point so I think that could quite easily have been the problem.
The frame itself is made from metal and features a soft touch, black powder coating, which I think would take quite a bit of SeeSawing (yes I totally admit, that if I had this on my desk I would sit making it go up and down, up and down).
Personally I think this frame offers a lot of options, you can have 4 photos ready and waiting to be shown and you can even change the way it is standing, which you can’t say for too many frames these days and it just looks fantastic – I mean for me it makes a complete talking point.
