  1. The corona virus hit the pause button on my travel bucket list. And we were planning to travel the world now that the kids are all grown up and the hubs retired. Bummer!

  6. I love following and reading travel blogs, especially family travel blogs! I love how real they are and how you get a real glimpse of their holiday and travel from a real family rather than a travel company of brochure showing what they want you to see!

  7. I love what influencers do because it gives all of us inspiration and ideas. Some have such unique stories and definitely allow you to explore a town further

  8. I am wanting to add more travel posts into my blog but never sure where to start, we went away last weekend for our wedding anniversary so contemplating doing a post on that.

  9. We love to travel something we love doing to relax and have fun. At first we travel as pleasure now it kinda become a part time job when i started a blog.

    1. I guess that’s the downside to it, it does become a job rather than a holiday in some respects.

  11. I love the idea of a life influencer. But I love also to read about other’s travel adventure and I love to read something before choosing my new travel destination!

    1. I have to admit I love reading about others travels as well – it amazes me the things people are able to do.

  12. I’ve done some travel posts, but I’m more of just an influencer. I think it would be amazing to be a full time travel influencer. It would be great to travel more.

    1. It would be crazy wouldn’t it – I couldn’t do it because of my health but part of me loves the idea.

  16. That is my dream job, but I guess that will remain as it is right now – a dream. If I had pursued this early in life, I would probably be a successful travel influencer by now. I am happy reading about other people’s travels. I still continue to dream though that one day or maybe in the next life, this dream will come true.

  17. With all the resources out there, I don’t know that that’s really where people are getting their ideas from. Maybe if it’s lesser known places people otherwise may not find?

    1. I think people want to know about all sorts of places and you can often come up with unique ideas even for the most trodden path.

I can so related to this post as that is why I started blogging, to share what places were around me as when I moved to UK 5 years ago, there was not many blogs showcasing what you can do locally and I was struggling to find places to go. Being a travel influencer is so important as others use your post as a guide.

    1. It is amazing isn’t it – if you know a place well you can really guide people to go to unique things they wouldn’t have otherwise have thought of.

  19. I would like to travel around the world at some point. For obvious reasons, I am unable to do so at the moment. But eventually I will be able to.

  20. I really love following travel accounts on insta and reading travel blogs, it’s great to live vicariously through them as my health means I can’t travel as much as I would like right now.

  21. This is a really useful take on this subject. Personally, I feel things like Instagram are just an add on to a presence most people already tend to have anyway and I think blogs still carry much more weight, but unfortunately, this seems to be changing little by little!

    1. I have to admit I do love blogs – I can’t imagine going over to Instagram full time but I think people are pushing it more.

  22. I’m always amazed at travel influencers. It’s such a great opportunity to learn and see the world at the same time.

    1. It is incredible isn’t it – I don’t know if I would manage to work I would want to just explore.

  23. I wish I could travel more often but with kids, it’s tricker. I do enjoy watching travel bloggers because I can live vicariously through them.

    1. It is so fun to live through them at times isn’t it – I’ve seen places with them that I would never manage myself.

  26. My bucket list of places to visit has certainly increased due to travel influencers! I have a travel site too that needs a little TLC at the moment, but it all makes me realise I certainly need to travel more! Sim x
