  1. I think what makes a home cosy is the personal touches that reflect who you are as a family I love nature so that is reflected in my home. My freind always comes into my home and says why is yours so cosy and mine isnt because she follows trends and not her heart.
In lock down I have been sorting out cupboards and slowly tackling the painful task of sorting out my late husbands things a clean home is a happy home.

  2. I’ve been keeping myself busy by doing lots of projects at home, including having another go at re-upholstering a chair that I started work on over a year ago! In our house it’s just me, my husband and our 2 elderly cats, and it’s a bit quiet, so when I’m working I put on a playlist of songs that bring back memories that I can sing along to as I work on a creative task. I find this is better than the radio as I don’t really want to be listening to doom and gloom on the news bulletins.

  3. Lots of good ideas here. I suppose now is the perfect opportunity to spice up my home a little bit, seeing as I’m in lock-down.

  4. I think the key to having a comfortable and cosy home is keep things simple. Warm colours, not much clutter and I agree, warm lighting.

  6. Could use a good clutter in my home while on lockdown and I have just changed my favourite room where I like to be added a mustard throw to my sofa and some new shades of purple cushion covers looks kind of springtime plus I won some lovely sunset canvasses from you they are so bright and cheerful so they’ve gone up . X

  8. Clutter is something that I can’t bare to sit and look at. I need things tidied away or stacked neatly in piles.

  9. I really want to swap out the flooring in my house. I’m not a fan of carpet anymore and I’d rather have something more durable in its place. We have bad allergies so carpet is not allergy friendly. Our allergies were better when we lived in a home with all laminate floors.

  10. I really do need a de-clutter, but find it so hard to start, having lived in the same place for nearly 27 years. I do love playing with lighting though, and I do change the photos and pictures on my walls periodically.

    1. It is so hard isn’t it – I often look around and think what could I get rid of but everything has a memory.

  13. I have a lot of decluttering to do. I’m working on catching up on some blog work and my kids school work, then I had plans on doing some decluttering. I know we have a lot to get rid of around here.

  14. Lots of great ideas. I have resorted to a lot of these. I wish the flowers would start blooming outside because, right now, I’m trying to not go anywhere unnecessarily so unfortunately, no fresh flowers in the house. Decluttering feels cathartic right now

    1. I am the same, there is something so uplifting when you see flowers start to bloom isn’t there?

  15. Decluttering makes a big difference, but I also really love adding plants to my life. Plants are one of my “guilty pleasures.” I know technically that I could spend my money on more practical things, but they give me such a lift.

  26. I do love being home maybe a little too much. I like to collect things and never throw out my kids school work. I know it leads to clutter but I need these keepsakes.
