STEAMCREAM Japanese Citrus – Review
PR Sample – I was kindly sent a tin of STEAMCREAM Japanese Citrus to help with this review.
As the seasons change, our skin often needs something different to thrive. For instance, I need a more intense moisturiser during the winter months, while in the summer, something light does just fine.
This is something that STEAMCREAM are very aware of and as such have come out with the 7 seasons, seasonal line.
So far they have released 5 of the 7 creams, which can be bought all year around while in stock.
STEAMCREAM are a brand I have enjoyed using for a long time now and I have found it interesting to see them grow form their original cream, to the range they have on offer now.
STEAMCREAM

I realise some won’t have heard of this unique brand before, so I thought I would a quick insight.
STEAMCREAM believe as a brand that skincare should be easy. To make this possible they utalise a unique steam emulsification method to create their creams. Which are then presented in unique aluminium tins. In fact, when buying the original STEAMCREAM these tins are available in range of artistic designs and can then be reused for keeping items, or recycled.
Much of their cream is made in Japan and are also vegan friendly and cruelty free. A real must try for anyone who loves skincare.
STEAMCREAM Japanese Citrus

When it comes to the seasonal line, STEAMCREAM look to utalise natural ingredients to help give your skin what it needs. To do this they have researched a range of suitable ingredients and essential oils and combined them to make a skin supporting cream.
The STEAMCREAM Japanese Citrus has been made specifically for use during the early to mid-summer season. It offers up a base of the original STEAMCREAM, blended with ugar Squalane and Citrus Sudachi Peel Extract.
This combines together to make a light, non-stickly, easily absorbed cream. That helps moisturise, plump and calm the skin.
My Thoughts

On opening the tin you are greated by a wonderful citrus fragrance, which personally, I find quite invigorating. However, don’t worry about it being over powering, it is more fresh and awakening, then in your face.
The cream itself, I found to be very gentle and calming to my skin. I feel like you can tell it uses the original cream as a base. However, the citrus side really helps add another level, which brings it perfectly into this time of year.
I think I said this over on my Instagram previously about another of the 7 seasons tins, that the sizing is perfect for use within the season.
It is also a cream that can be used in so many ways. Of course, morning and night as a face cream is a must. (In fact, you can even layer it on to make a more of face mask at night.) However it can also be utalised for body and hand care as well.
It lives up to the non-sticky formula, and quickly absorbes into the skin.
This is definitely a cream I would look to rebuy when May – June rolls around again. I will be interested to see what the final creams in the 7 seasons range will be as well.
The STEAMCREAM Japanese Citrus comes in at £15.95.
What do you think of the sound of this cream, would you like to try it out?

The small is incredible I have to admit – definitely one of my favourite parts of it.

I just love the smell of citrus fruits. That tin is really cute too, and sounds like a lovely product to use.
This smells absolutely incredible honestly, just a wonderful citrus scent, and their tins are always so cute.
I love that it comes in such a pretty tin! I wish more companies did this with their product, so you get to reuse it after! The cream looks gorgeous too!
Their tins are the best, they always have such lovely ones, which are so reusable. The cream is wonderful too.
These products look absolutely beautiful, thank you so much!
Steamcream is such a great brand, they really think about how they create their products.
I’m using this at the moment, it’s lovely! After winning your Steamcream competition last year I fell in love with their products and I’m now a regular customer 😀
Oh, that is amazing, that has made my day to hear you liked your prize so much! I am so glad you liked your prize and yay for using their products, they really are so good.
I have not heard of this brand but would love to give this cream a try out, sounds great
They are a great brand, well worth trying out when you need a new cream.
These look beautiful products and I love the metal (no plastic) container.
The tins are incredible, I always love looking at the ones they sell the original cream in, they have so many artistic designs.
I am happy with after sun as the only cream I ever need when I go abroad again
Moisturisers are great for everyone, it is worth making sure your skin is kept hydrated as well as using an SPF.
I personally won’t purchase this for myself (I’m very much a cheapskate when it comes to spending on myself) but I definitely would look into buying this for a friend who loves fragrant creams. Currently Bodyshop is her go to but I think she would love this as her dream is to go to Japan one day too.
It is a really good cream and with the seasonal tins, they last pretty much the whole season they are meant for. The original is a good one as well.
