Say No to Doctor Google and Yes to Online Healthcare
We’ve all been there. We have something niggling us and we know we need to get something to help but it doesn’t quite warrant a trip to see our GPs.
Then if your anything like me then standing in a crowded pharmacy and proclaiming oh yeah I’m suffering from piles right now, what should I do?! Fills you with complete dread, so you put it off.
Or even worse you turn to Dr Google, who of course knows all the wrong answers.
However, these days there are other alternatives you can look for.

Using the Right Online Healthcare
These days you can turn to professionals online, who can make sure you get the correct treatment.
Without the wait or the embarrassment.
For instance, The Independent Pharmacy is run by two long-term pharmacists, who saw a need in the market for online, 24-7 pharmacy access.
Now, along with a team of accredited pharmacists and doctors, they offer you the ability to get the right treatment, quickly.
What is more, your medications are delivered directly to your door! So no more waiting around for the prescription to be ready.

Do You Need a Prescription From Your Doctor?
Not necessarily, however, you aren’t just given access to any drugs.
You will need to fill in questionnaires and these will have to go before the professionals before your medication is shipped.
If on the other hand, you do have a prescription and just can’t face the wait at your local pharmacy. You can still use the service. It doesn’t matter if you work via electronic, paper or private prescription they can find a way to cater to your needs.
Perhaps what is even more impressive, is they boast a 24-hour turn around time! Meaning your medication should be in your hands ASAP.

Say NO to Doctor Google
So next time you are floundering and wondering just how to deal with a small ailment, or are struggling to pick up your prescription.
Say No to Doctor Google and turn to someone who really knows what they are doing.
Have you ever tried using an online pharmacy service, how did you find it?

Talk about convenient, this is awesome especially for people who are unable to just go out and buy their medicine. It’s definitely something that a lot of people will benefit from.
Most definitely it can be so hard to get out there at times especially when you are ill.
I do google about most of the health care issues but just for knowledge nothing like going to doctor for a full check up 😀
Most definitely and you have to be careful with how you google thing.
I honestly google everything and most of the time I will end up fearing of my life. lol! So I think this online health care is much better, convenient and easy!
Haha it is awful isn’t it – google thinks everything is going to kill you.
I don’t know much about online healthcare, thanks for sharing. I like google but not as my doctor though.
No it can be quite scary the things that come up when you google symptoms.
I am one of the first ones to look on google when something is bothering me, but I know that I should go to the doctor instead. It’s great to have the option of the pharmacist instead, I have never done that! Thanks for a great post!
It is definitely a better thing to do – your more likely to get a real answer that isn’t going to make you think your dying.
I am a physician and get concerned about how people get healthcare to meet their needs. I also recommend avoiding Dr. Google but I think they should talk to online physicians. There are many telemedicine options where personalized medical information can be used to determine the correct medication. Healthcare is more than medications and decisions about further follow up are needed.
Most definitely, that is what this company offer, they aren’t just handing out any old medication.
That is actually a really great idea. I really do need to look into this.
Most definitely! I would 100% go and look into something like this.
I work in healthcare and I can honestly say that Dr. Google is the WORST!! LOL! I’m gad there are safer online options for healthcare!!
Most definitely I would always go to my GP first but sometimes having an alternative is a good thing too!
I love that there are ways that you can see a doctor online. With so many parents staying home with kids, going to the doctor with all the kids can be so troublesome.
Most definitely I think it is such a great alternative for people to have access to.
Dr. Google is dangerous! It always ends up showing extreme results. Better to stay away from googling your symptoms 🙂
It is crazy isn’t it, the things that can come up are awful!
I try and stay away from Dr Google, but it is difficult when you try to get a GP appointment and can’t get one for another month, so anything helps!
It is so hard and GP appointment can take weeks these days I know my parents have an awful time!
It’s great that you can now get online healthcare instead of going to a GP! 🙂
It is really useful isn’t it – I love that you can get the help in your home.
What a great idea that is no needed. Love that they are available 24/7– like a pharmacy should be.
It is great isn’t it – you don’t have to spend the night worrying away.
I never tried online pharmacies before but I know my mother-in-law has. I remember her liking her experience!
It is always good to hear feedback of people who have tried things and found them to be good!
I love the idea in concept and certainly benefits are many. That said, I need to find out if my company’s prescription plan would allow using it. Plan for tommorrow!!
It’s always worth knowing the option is there for the future.
I love this idea. We also had this app recently in my country, Philippines. It is so much better than getting all the wrong information in Google search.
It is an awesome idea – I love that they are opening around the world.
I do use an app and it goes by the name of HealthBuddy and it is indeed a part of online healthcare, so I related to all the facts here. So the answer to your question is yes I do have tried an online pharmacy system.
That is great – I love hearing when people do use similar things!
Its amazing that online health care system is advancing day by day. It’s a lot better than The Dr Google. Online healthcare may not be the best always, but it is better to let a doctor treat you then a search engine.
It really is – Dr Google can be so dangerous sometimes can’t it – I think it can make us very paranoid at times too.
I love the title of your post. I have heard several professionals in the medical industry caution the public against looking up their symptoms on Google. I think a lot of the HMOs provide credible online access to healthcare concerns also.
I think it can be a really bad thing to do – there are good health websites out there to turn to when you know your diagnosis but googling symptoms oh no!
It can be so hard to find time to get to the doctor and pharmacy. Online services are a great invention.
It really makes everything so much easier doesn’t it – have it all in the palm of your hands.
Interesting! I had no idea this was even out there. I love that you can get your prescriptions sent to your home and avoid going to the doctor. I feel like that would be great in the winter months when flu season is going around – I hate going to the doctor in the winter because of all the germs.
Most definitely I think it’s a great idea – especially when you find it hard going to get out as well.
I think it’s great that they offer that 24-hour turnaround. You can really count on your meds to get to you.
Most definitely if your stuck as well it is good to know they can sort it all out for you.
I’m very guilty of googling everything instead of going to the doctors. I have a great doctor too, the problem is it’s usually a 3 week wait to get in if i’m lucky. So maybe an online doctor’s the solution.
I think it is just so easy to do isn’t it – though we all need to try and no do it!
Sounds like a great alternative to Dr. Google. So convenient that the prescription gets delivered to you!
Most definitely – so simple to use and how helpful is going to be in cold season!
Dr. Google is the worst! No matter what is wrong, it makes you thing you are dying! I love that there is a better online option!
It is so true! Could be a spot and Google – your dying – it’s over.
I loved the Dr. Google thought. I so do that. I google everything! I have used an online doctor on occasion and it worked well. Sure loved not waiting in the doctor’s office.
So easy right?! And it can be so hard to get an appointment even these days at least over here.
I really like that this will have prescriptions delivered to the door. And, I will try (no promises) to avoid turning to doctor Google quite so much 😉
It is such a great thing to have on offer isn’t it! I could totally see myself taking advantage.
What a great information to seek online healthcare instead. What I like about it is no waiting and delivery at our door.
Most definitely you can get on with your day and just sort it out as you go.
I have never tried an online pharmacy, but I love this idea! My hubby is always turning to Dr. Google and why risk it when it comes to your health. Bookmarking this! Thanks!
I think so many people do as its quick and simple and hey we google everything these days! But it’s not really a good idea!
It’s great that they can sort out your prescription in just 24 hours. I know how hard I get mine from my GP, it takes ages even if it’s repeat and I never know if they have it or it’s at the pharmacy. I always go to both twice until I find out exactly where it is….
It is crazy isn’t it – I think it takes at least 3 working days with one from the GP on repeat at least.
My friend’s 17-yo son was diagnosed with a rare type of brain tumor, and had surgery to try to remove it. They only got about 1/3 of it, and 3 weeks later, results were in. It was non-cancerous, but pre-cancerous, and he and his mom went online to ‘Dr. Google,’ so now they’re extremely anxious and upset because of what it said about the type of tumor. (will re-grow, will continue to grow, etc. but no treatments listed). They now have to wait weeks to hear about the treatment plan, all the while stressing over what Dr. Google had to say. I don’t recommend it!
Oh gosh that isn’t good at all I hope all goes OK for your friend’s son! Very worrying all around for you all.
I love this and I so agree with saying no to Dr. Google! I have used an online service like this before just recently for my kids and it was a great resource.
It is great to hear people have had good experiences with such services!
I love this idea! I hate looking up symptoms on Google and then panicking. (I have two weeks to live!) I like the idea of online healthcare so I can discover the truth of what is going on.
Google can be so bad for us can’t it! Amazing how it can flip from the best thing to the worst thing.
I’ve never tried online pharmacies before. I feel pretty fortunate because the pharmacy right by mine is open 24 hours. I do agree with staying away from Dr Google. I feel like I’ll start looking for reasons as to why my eye is itchy and it ends in me dying lol.
Oh that is really lucky! I live in a little village so we get 9 – 5 I think it is Monday – Friday.
Really nice to go on line and see my charts and results anytime I want to accesses my information. Plus a live nurse is always just a phone call away to help out. I haven’t done the on line pharmacy yet.
It sounds like you have a really great doctors to go to which is so easy to access!
I love the fact that you can real healthcare online these days. I like the idea of an online pharmacy service. I haven’t tried it yet, but I will.
It is great isn’t it – I think in this day and age it is definitely a need for everyone.
