  1. Talk about convenient, this is awesome especially for people who are unable to just go out and buy their medicine. It’s definitely something that a lot of people will benefit from.

    1. It is definitely a better thing to do – your more likely to get a real answer that isn’t going to make you think your dying.

  5. I am a physician and get concerned about how people get healthcare to meet their needs. I also recommend avoiding Dr. Google but I think they should talk to online physicians. There are many telemedicine options where personalized medical information can be used to determine the correct medication. Healthcare is more than medications and decisions about further follow up are needed.

  6. I work in healthcare and I can honestly say that Dr. Google is the WORST!! LOL! I’m gad there are safer online options for healthcare!!

  7. I love that there are ways that you can see a doctor online. With so many parents staying home with kids, going to the doctor with all the kids can be so troublesome.

  8. I try and stay away from Dr Google, but it is difficult when you try to get a GP appointment and can’t get one for another month, so anything helps!

  9. I love the idea in concept and certainly benefits are many. That said, I need to find out if my company’s prescription plan would allow using it. Plan for tommorrow!!

  10. I love this idea. We also had this app recently in my country, Philippines. It is so much better than getting all the wrong information in Google search.

  11. I do use an app and it goes by the name of HealthBuddy and it is indeed a part of online healthcare, so I related to all the facts here. So the answer to your question is yes I do have tried an online pharmacy system.

  12. Its amazing that online health care system is advancing day by day. It’s a lot better than The Dr Google. Online healthcare may not be the best always, but it is better to let a doctor treat you then a search engine.

    1. It really is – Dr Google can be so dangerous sometimes can’t it – I think it can make us very paranoid at times too.

  13. I love the title of your post. I have heard several professionals in the medical industry caution the public against looking up their symptoms on Google. I think a lot of the HMOs provide credible online access to healthcare concerns also.

    1. I think it can be a really bad thing to do – there are good health websites out there to turn to when you know your diagnosis but googling symptoms oh no!

  14. Interesting! I had no idea this was even out there. I love that you can get your prescriptions sent to your home and avoid going to the doctor. I feel like that would be great in the winter months when flu season is going around – I hate going to the doctor in the winter because of all the germs.

  15. I’m very guilty of googling everything instead of going to the doctors. I have a great doctor too, the problem is it’s usually a 3 week wait to get in if i’m lucky. So maybe an online doctor’s the solution.

  16. Dr. Google is the worst! No matter what is wrong, it makes you thing you are dying! I love that there is a better online option!

  17. I loved the Dr. Google thought. I so do that. I google everything! I have used an online doctor on occasion and it worked well. Sure loved not waiting in the doctor’s office.

  18. I really like that this will have prescriptions delivered to the door. And, I will try (no promises) to avoid turning to doctor Google quite so much 😉

  19. What a great information to seek online healthcare instead. What I like about it is no waiting and delivery at our door.

  20. I have never tried an online pharmacy, but I love this idea! My hubby is always turning to Dr. Google and why risk it when it comes to your health. Bookmarking this! Thanks!

    1. I think so many people do as its quick and simple and hey we google everything these days! But it’s not really a good idea!

  21. It’s great that they can sort out your prescription in just 24 hours. I know how hard I get mine from my GP, it takes ages even if it’s repeat and I never know if they have it or it’s at the pharmacy. I always go to both twice until I find out exactly where it is….

  22. My friend’s 17-yo son was diagnosed with a rare type of brain tumor, and had surgery to try to remove it. They only got about 1/3 of it, and 3 weeks later, results were in. It was non-cancerous, but pre-cancerous, and he and his mom went online to ‘Dr. Google,’ so now they’re extremely anxious and upset because of what it said about the type of tumor. (will re-grow, will continue to grow, etc. but no treatments listed). They now have to wait weeks to hear about the treatment plan, all the while stressing over what Dr. Google had to say. I don’t recommend it!

    1. Oh gosh that isn’t good at all I hope all goes OK for your friend’s son! Very worrying all around for you all.

  23. I love this and I so agree with saying no to Dr. Google! I have used an online service like this before just recently for my kids and it was a great resource.

  24. I love this idea! I hate looking up symptoms on Google and then panicking. (I have two weeks to live!) I like the idea of online healthcare so I can discover the truth of what is going on.

  25. I’ve never tried online pharmacies before. I feel pretty fortunate because the pharmacy right by mine is open 24 hours. I do agree with staying away from Dr Google. I feel like I’ll start looking for reasons as to why my eye is itchy and it ends in me dying lol.

  26. Really nice to go on line and see my charts and results anytime I want to accesses my information. Plus a live nurse is always just a phone call away to help out. I haven’t done the on line pharmacy yet.

  27. I love the fact that you can real healthcare online these days. I like the idea of an online pharmacy service. I haven’t tried it yet, but I will.
