Founded by Tia, the box looks to include results-driven skincare and premium beauty. Each month the items included are hand-picked by their team of beauty experts and presented alongside insider knowledge to help their customers make the most of their products.

The Roccabox May 2022 box is named “Be Kind”, they point out that over the past few years we have all taken on the phrase be kind, both to ourselves and others.
However, the question is just how can this be used within the beauty world? Well, Roccabox sees it as a chance to strip back beauty. To focus more on choosing kind formulas over abrasive additives and also choosing ingredients that encourage; calmness, balance and repair.
In other words, they are saying you can be kind to your skin by choosing gentle products. You don’t need to keep triple cleansing and using harsh products. Look to instead choose kind products that still do their jobs.
So what did the Roccabox May 2022 Be Kind box include?
Monuskin – Flash Relax Mask
I have to admit that Monu is one of those brands that seems to keep cropping up in beauty boxes and I’m not upset by that. They are a natural, cruelty-free and vegan brand and I’ve not tried a product from them I’ve not liked. This is a full-sized product with an RRP of £36. It is offered as a gentle alternative to botox and is perfect for use before a big event. It contains ingredients such as Ginseng, Magnesium and Vitamin C, and its suggested usage is 1 – 2 times per week.
Caprea – Lash and Brow Serum
This full-size product with an RRP of £15.90 is said to help improve the look of your brow and lashes although it does need dedication for results. You will need to put in at least 4 weeks of continued usage to start seeing the difference. However, with a bit of dedication they say you will start to see thicker and longer lashes and brows.
Cetaphil – Gentle Skin Cleanser
I have a bit of a love hate relationship with Cetaphil, their gentle skin cleanser is great for sensitive skin. It is a true cult product and works well with every skincare type. However, while they don’t test on animals to sell to the UK market, they do choose to sell in China. This is once again a full-size product and comes in at £5.99.
Warda – Skin Lifter Boost Collagen Moisturiser
Another full-size product, this time one I haven’t heard of before I have to admit, this collagen moisturiser has an RRP of £44.90 and can be used day or night (though Roccabox suggests to use in the morning). Incredibly it is said it offers instant results, helping to plump out, firm and smooth your complexion. Offering a dewy finish to the skin, it is hailed as a must-have by beauty editors across the UK.
Ameliorate – Intensive Foot Treatment
I might be in the minority here, but I really don’t think boxes include enough foot treatments, so I was pleased to see this included. Offering a deluxe size sample this foot treatment is said to be perfect to help get your feet ready for the summer. For those who suffer from cracked heels, it is said to even offer up long term relief.
Ellie Saab – Girl of Now Perfume Sample
Roccabox often includes an “extra treat” these aren’t part of the 5 main items and can include things like a sweet treat, or small sample. For the May 2022 box they included a sample of Ellie Saab’s much-loved Girl of Now perfume.
Overall Thoughts of the Roccabox May 2022
This month’s box comes in with an RRP of £118 and on the whole include really usable items. I personally like the idea of stripping back your beauty routine and making kinder choices for your skin. I think sometimes we can get caught up with big words and fancy ingredients and don’t really know exactly what we are using.
When it comes to price, Roccabox comes in at £15 + £3.95 postage for a monthly rolling subscription and I definitely think it is worth that price point. I love the fact it is full of either full or deluxe sizes, meaning you can really give each item a try.

I have used cetaphil for a while now, it’s one of my favourites. Though I did not not know about them testing on animals and selling in China.
Thank you for this, I think I will have to find a new brand of cleanser.
Other than that, the Roccabox looks great, and really good value ☺️
The loophole is they don’t test on animals themselves, but to sell in China products have to be tested on animals, so they get around it by saying it’s not tested on by them but by China (or any other country with the same rules).

I often buy Cetaphil and I wasn’t aware that they sold in China
Yeah, I really loved it when I tried it and then a friend told me and I was like oh. I think, for me, it is the way they have gone about it, I find the way some companies are like hey we are cruelty-free and don’t test on animals on the surface, but then sell in China preformative, as are they really animal testing free?

My Mum loves it as it is so affordable and really good on the skin. She was like oh my favourite when I asked her if she wanted it.

What a brilliant complete set of self care at a nice price
It is really nice, they do put a lot of thought into their boxes I have to say.
Unlike food items, a lot of people don’t read what is on the label or know what they are reading. I’m definitely one of them so to have a trustworthy company do that for you, it is great you can ensure that you’re using the best products for your skin which is great. I definitely can do with some lash and brow serum. I didn’t even know such thing existed. Unlike my children, I can barely see my eyelashes or brow. You can tell they didn’t take that from me as they have such beautiful long lashes.
There are some really good lash and brow serums on the market, my Mum has blond eyelashes and brows and swears by a good serum for helping them! She often asks me if I have any around the place.
