OXO Good Grips Salad Spinner: Review and Competition
As a child we would often have a small salad meal for Sunday tea time after the Sunday roast of lunch and I remember my Mum and Dad busying around the kitchen and I would want to help so I would be sat at the table with the salad spinner so I could dry it off, for some reason I enjoyed seeing it wizz around and then come out ready to munch on, as I got older my Dad and I used to fight over who got to spin the salad, meaning I knew just the person to test run the OXO Good Grips Salad Spinner with.
This is the newer model of salad spinner from OXO, which sees the spinner remodelled a little in shape as well as a few new additions been added to help improve performance.
OXO Good Grips Salad Spinner
The most noticeable change to the OXO Good Grips Salad Spinner is the wider base, this change has helped the spinner gain a much more stable standing, which allows for more worry free spinning – I often remember the one from my childhood spinning off across the table or counter but as yet, haven’t had that issue with this one.
You may also notice that the spinner packs away flat – making it much easier to store. The black long button pushes in and out of place and releases or holds the spin pusher, which the round black one to the other side acts as a brake so when your salad is spinning out of control you can just press it in and bring it gently to a halt.
As you can see from the pictures the inner basket sits neatly away from the outer edge allowing for water to be moved away from the salad and come to a rest at the bottom easily.
When it comes to taking the spinner apart to clean there is a button on the lid to realise all the parts to allow for easy drying, it is also top shelf dishwasher safe making cleaning simple and easy.
If you are after a new salad spinner, I can definitely recommend this one, with its ease of use and cleaning, plus it’s larger than average size all make for great points, to find out more about the OXO Good Grips Salad Spinner pop over to their website.
