Oak Furnitureland Original Rustic Solid Oak Sideboard Review
PR Sample – Oak Furnitureland sent me an original rustic solid oak sideboard for consideration on my blog.
I have to admit we haven’t changed a lot around the bungalow since we moved in. We did get a new mattress at the start of the year. However, on the whole, all our furniture moved with us over our past few home moves.
However, not all of it really suits the room it was placed in. For instance, due to the compact size of the bedroom, our chest of drawers was placed in the living room.
So when Oak Furnitureland asked if we would like a piece of furniture to have a look at, I knew the exact spot we could put something into.

Original Rustic Solid Oak Sideboard
I originally thought the space we had would need a small sideboard. However, after getting Ash involved in measuring we realised a large sideboard would just fit in. So we decided to go for this original rustic solid oak sideboard.
Coming in at W139cm x H 83cm x D 43cm, it features 3 doors behind which is a connected two shelf storage area, and three drawers. It has been made out of solid oak with classic carpentry joints, rounded edges and antiqued drop bar handles.
The oak has been given an aged wax finish to help add to the rustic feel of the piece. While the drawers have been finished with a dovetail joint and the cupboards feature a magnetic closing to the top and bottom.
This piece is part of the “Original Rustic” range. This range contains a number of complementary pieces, perfect for the lounge, bedroom or hallway. Allowing for pieces to match across the home.
One of the unique features of the Oak Furnitureland website is you can set up an AR experience to give you an idea of what the piece will look like inside your home. All you need is your phone and an open area where the furniture will go. Once you have used the AR feature to virtually place the item within your home, you can move and turn it to see where it fits best.
When it comes to delivery Oak Furnitureland offers a number of choices. The first is contact-free, with them dropping it off on your doorstep. Secondly, they offer delivery to your room of choice. Thirdly the flexibility to change your date as needed and lastly full set up and packaging removed. Delivery options cost between £9.99 and £99.99.
My Thoughts
Oak Furnitureland keeps you updated throughout the process and the day before delivery you will receive a three-hour time slot. Our sideboard was brought into the room of our choice and all we had to do was unwrap and place it.
We did find that the delivery drivers offered some advice on the best way to unwrap the item and it helped. Following their instructions, Ash was able to quite easily unbox and unwrap the sideboard.
Once out it became quickly obvious the piece was indeed solid and well finished. The design means the piece offers a good amount of storage, which in a small space, with little storage has been a huge help to us.
The cupboards have a magnetic closing, which isn’t too stiff and the drawers slide in and out smoothly. We found it fitted perfectly into the space we had for it, meaning I can actually measure sometimes.
I personally feel like the Original Rustic Solid Oak Sideboard has the design and quality to last for many years to come. Allowing this to be a piece to be proud of within the home.

That’s really very nice – and essential for strorage. But the downstairs rooms of my house are so small and cramped there just really wouldn’t be room. Such a shame!

I’ve found over the years that flat packs just don’t last so in the long run it is well worth spending more and getting quality.
This looks like a very nice piece of furniture and yes it is something I’d like in my home. I do prefer real wood to chipboard rubbish that falls apart after 5 minutes. You can just see this sideboard is quality and will look good and last for years.

A solid and useful piece of furniture with an attractive finish. Pieces like these are good investments.
Yes, definitely they will move and grow with you, unlike MDF furniture pieces which always need replacing.
Oh real wood – isn’t it beautiful compared to flat pack chip board furniture from Scandinavia. I’m always a little confused as I have never seen chip board furniture in the homes of friends in Sweden or Denmark but this real wood delight is something special.
It really is – it makes all the difference you can just tell from looking at it, that it is built to last!

I’m so glad it’s not just me – I was so impressed with the size inside, I really thought there would be less room! They’ve managed to make it really sturdy and strong while still offering maximum space inside – a fine balance!

That is a lovely solid looking piece of furniture. I bought bedroom cabinets from Oak Furniture land and the quality is excellent and the price quite reasonable

Ohh that sounds lovely – I have to admit I do love wood and things that have a rustic / older feel.
Oak furnitureland is great. Made of solid wood they’re products are very long-lasting and even if they might be pricer than let’s say Ikea, you’re paying for quality so you don’t have to spend more money replacing them. We’re going to buy a new dining table and coffee table soon and will be looking at Oak Furnitureland. A similar colour to your sideboard would be great!
Definitely, I’ve given up on flat pack furniture it might be cheaper but it isn’t made to last and you have to DIY it which means it ends up not so well made either if it’s me doing it!
