Meraki Silky Mist Body Scrub: Review
I can easily admit I’ve neglected my skin, for months I’ve not exfoliated or moisturised just stuck with washing and going, partly as I didn’t have the energy and partly as once sat in the shower it was too late to go rummaging for a scrub. That all changed though when Trouva got in touch and asked if I would like to try something from the Meraki range, which is new to their website.
To give you an idea about Trouva they are an online market place, who host over 150 boutiques from the UK and offer all sorts of different products, from homewares to clothing and bags to skincare.
Now as I said Meraki are a new brand to them, they are actually Danish and have a range of skincare that is based on a natural and clean philosophy and are perhaps well known to boutique shoppers across the country already. All of their products are free from all those nasties that fill so many of the products on the market and they even offer a number of Vegan friendly items as well.
After having a good look through the amazing looking range, I made the hard choice to try out the Meraki Silky Mist Body Scrub.
Now as all those people who are good at keeping on top of their skincare regime know, you should be exfoliating once or twice a week and with a new tub who was I to not follow that (ok, ok I admit I didn’t follow that – I blame moving and 1001 things going wrong), but I did begin to exfoliate more than I had before, even if I just quickly did my elbows and knees.
So what is Meraki Silky Mist Body Scrub like? Well when it comes to the salt crystals think big and hard, think more like something you would find at a spa, than something you would buy in the supermarket. It has that luxurious feel and scent and it most definitely doesn’t dissolve on contact, allowing you to gently massage the scrub on damp skin and feel as though it is really helping aid in getting rid of dry and dead skin cells.
Perhaps surprisingly this scrub is also very moisturising, all the essential oils used to scent the scrub come together to not only give a wonderful fragrance but also leave your skin feeling thoroughly pampered.
My only issue was the scrub had slightly leaked in transit, I’m not sure if the lid wasn’t on quite tight enough or if it just isn’t quite oil tight. Either way, that is just a little problem and over all it is absolutely amazing.

A bit unfortunate about the leak during delivery but I still find it good. You described it well in a way that makes me want it on my skin and it just sounds so natural as a salt scrub.
Honestly it is amazing and I totally forgive that leak (but always think it is best to mention everything and not miss out bits) x

This Meraki Silky Mist Body Scrub sounds like something I would love to try. I really love scrubs like this because your skin feels so soft after showering or bathing. I wonder if this would be a good thing for a daughter with oily skin to try, maybe it would do the trick to keep her skin from not being all shiny.

I admit, I slack on exfoliating in the summer. I need to establish a better routine before the winter weather takes a toll on my skin. This sounds like an amazing scrub to help me get back in the exfoliating game!

I’m just like you. Sometimes my skin care regimen slacks off. Then I suffer from dryness. Body scrubs like this have helped tremendously.

This looks like a really good deal and effective product. You just have to keep tab on the lid.
Once it’s in the bathroom it’s good and they wrapped it well in a bag so I think perhaps they know it is an issue a little leaks. x

I use a scrub a couple of times a year but not regularly. Last time I made my own but I am sure it’s not nearly as fabulous as the one you tried. I like to use mine on my heals (I love to go barefoot) but the rest of my body doesn’t need it very often as I moisturize all the time.
I’ve been walking about barefoot a lot since we moved and I have to admit I need to do something about my heels now because of it.x

I think it was probably just an oil leak which is hard to contain even when they did they best (it was double sealed), but always worth mentioning. x
