Meraki Silky Mist Body Scrub: Review
I can easily admit I’ve neglected my skin, for months I’ve not exfoliated or moisturised just stuck with washing and going, partly as I didn’t have the energy and partly as once sat in the shower it was too late to go rummaging for a scrub. That all changed though when Trouva got in touch and asked if I would like to try something from the Meraki range, which is new to their website.
To give you an idea about Trouva they are an online market place, who host over 150 boutiques from the UK and offer all sorts of different products, from homewares to clothing and bags to skincare.
Now as I said Meraki are a new brand to them, they are actually Danish and have a range of skincare that is based on a natural and clean philosophy and are perhaps well known to boutique shoppers across the country already. All of their products are free from all those nasties that fill so many of the products on the market and they even offer a number of Vegan friendly items as well.
After having a good look through the amazing looking range, I made the hard choice to try out the Meraki Silky Mist Body Scrub.
Now as all those people who are good at keeping on top of their skincare regime know, you should be exfoliating once or twice a week and with a new tub who was I to not follow that (ok, ok I admit I didn’t follow that – I blame moving and 1001 things going wrong), but I did begin to exfoliate more than I had before, even if I just quickly did my elbows and knees.
So what is Meraki Silky Mist Body Scrub like? Well when it comes to the salt crystals think big and hard, think more like something you would find at a spa, than something you would buy in the supermarket. It has that luxurious feel and scent and it most definitely doesn’t dissolve on contact, allowing you to gently massage the scrub on damp skin and feel as though it is really helping aid in getting rid of dry and dead skin cells.
Perhaps surprisingly this scrub is also very moisturising, all the essential oils used to scent the scrub come together to not only give a wonderful fragrance but also leave your skin feeling thoroughly pampered.
My only issue was the scrub had slightly leaked in transit, I’m not sure if the lid wasn’t on quite tight enough or if it just isn’t quite oil tight. Either way, that is just a little problem and over all it is absolutely amazing.
If you fancy trying Meraki Silky Mist Body Scrub for yourself it costs £15.50 for 250ml and you can buy this as well as check out the rest of the range by clicking over to the Trouva website.
What do you think of the sound of Meraki Silky Mist Body Scrub, do you fancy trying it yourself?

Not used anybody scrub in a long time
Looks like a very good scrub. I need to restart using body scrubs, so I take not of this one!
It is amazing – I fall in love with it a little bit more each time I use it. x
A bit unfortunate about the leak during delivery but I still find it good. You described it well in a way that makes me want it on my skin and it just sounds so natural as a salt scrub.
Honestly it is amazing and I totally forgive that leak (but always think it is best to mention everything and not miss out bits) x
Oh, nice review. I wish I can find this in our place. Sounds great for my skin.
I definitely need a good, moisturizing scrub. I will have to give this a try for sure.
I’ve been ignoring my skin this summer and it’s awful! I’ll have to check this out.
I love a little pampering, and this sounds like just the thing. With dry weather around the corner, I love that it moisturizing too.
I love a good scrub. This sounds amazing! I would love to try it.
This product looks amazing! I love trying new body scrubs and try new scents
Honestly I think it is a must try – one of my favourites I have ever tried. x
I’ve never heard of this brand before. I’m bad about neglecting my skin as well and should get back on track.
I hadn’t till I tried them I have to say – but I’ll be buying more to try. x
This Meraki Silky Mist Body Scrub sounds like something I would love to try. I really love scrubs like this because your skin feels so soft after showering or bathing. This is one place I am going to have to check out and I love they deliver to the U.S. too. Thanks for sharing this awesome scrub and company.
No problem at all – I really hope you love it if you give it a try 🙂 I am most definitely in love with it 🙂 x
I am always looking for a new body scrub. This one looks so great and to get my skin nourished the way it needs to be!
Honestly it is amazing – well worth trying and it smells good too! x
My skin is so dry from this summer that I definitely need something like this! I must check it out!
My skins awful this summer as well I have no idea why it’s definitely helped with those sore dry bits. x
I wonder if this would be a good thing for a daughter with oily skin to try, maybe it would do the trick to keep her skin from not being all shiny.
Definitely worth trying or perhaps a sensitive peel, I’ve just started using one on my face and it’s making a big difference. x
I admit, I slack on exfoliating in the summer. I need to establish a better routine before the winter weather takes a toll on my skin. This sounds like an amazing scrub to help me get back in the exfoliating game!
I’m just starting to get into a routine now we have moved, I never managed one in the old place – I blame the whole feel of the place lol x
I love a nice body scrub and this looks like it would be luxurious. I bet this would help keep my skin soft during the dry winter months
It really is luxurious, without that price tag they sometimes come with though! x
I absolutely LOVE scrubs and love finding ones that are recommended. I’m going to have to find this one and give it a whirl!
I really hope you love it as much as I do 🙂 x
