Keep your Windows Bright with the Vileda Windomatic
Winter can be a right pain; you go to bed with sparkling windows then wake up to them covered in condensation, from you breathing in the night.
Of course, with double glazing, it isn’t half the issue it used to be.
However, there are still times it mists up and of course, there are the times you clean them and want that sparkling finish only the professionals or those with years of practice have managed to perfect.
Well no more, I say, NO MORE!
As Vileda has brought out the Windomatic (sounds a bit like something from Wallace and Gromit), which is your best friend when it comes to drying windows and mirrors or cleaning up liquid spills.
Vileda Windomatic
This is such a simple tool to use (hey even I can manage it). It comes in three parts, the main body, head and water container; I was a little worried about spillages when I took out a full container. However, it is so well designed, that you just push a button and remove the container in a smooth action to avoid any issues.
The neck of the Windomatic has a special patent-pending flexible design. Which allows you to easily make your way over any bumps or curves, in the surface you are trying to dry. So no worrying about hitting an uneven surface with this device.
I have to say that perhaps the first thing that struck me about this product was the weight, it is extremely lightweight. Meaning you don’t start off with a heavy product that is only going to get heavier as it sucks the water up. YES!
How it Works:
Charging time on the Windomatic is 6 hours, for this, you get 20 minutes of usage time. I have to admit I haven’t used it for 20 minutes at a time. As such I am unable to tell you if this is true, as I normally pop it back on charge after a couple of uses to make sure it is always topped up and ready to go.
The only downside I can personally see with this product is the size of the head, it is quite large and as such would be hard to use in small spaces (if you so needed to). However, after doing some digging, you can buy a smaller attachment so all is not lost with that issue.
Other than that, I think it is a great product. Which has a whole manner of uses, from helping you wash the windows to de-misting mirrors, cleaning the shower and of course picking up spillages.

I got one of these a few months back and it does the job but I think the head should be bigger for bigger windows like mine 🙂
Might be worth seeing if you can get a bigger one as they do a smaller one?x

I reviewed the Karcher a year or so back, but my Mum stole it so I never really got to use it much. They both have their plus points, but if you are after something light this is definitely a winner.

Condensation has never really been an issue at my house, thank goodness. Still, it would be nice to have one of these around just in case.
It would be hard to use in small spaces like you said but it is perfect to use on larger surfaces. It is not a bad price.

I think it looks great. How useful and easy to use is that. I must try and find one and get my lower windows cleaned. I don’t do go up ladders so hubby can do the high ones.

That’s neat! This is going to sound weird but I hate when the cleaning products actually touch my skin and I lose my cleaning gloves all the time, this would totally work for me!
Getting the windows clean can sometimes be a chore. However it’s something that must be done. This tool looks like it would make the process so much easier.
I always end up smearing them, this definitely helps stop that issue.

It was foggy this morning and my windows would have loved the windowmatic. I love that it’s easy to use and that it’s dishwasher safe. It’s a win-win!
