  1. Yes! Everyone needs to do what they feel best and what they are most comfortable with. Glad that’s what you’re doing!

    1. Definitely it can be hard to do your own thing but everyone needs to try and look after themselves.

  2. I couldn’t agree more! The true fans will never act this way as they did, I was so sad 😞Talking about masks, no one is wearing a mask here. I didn’t see them wearing a mask earlier during the hard phase too, so no wonder they aren’t going to wear it after 19th! My husband and I will wear masks till 2022 and yes, we don’t care what other peeps think. Our body, our responsibility and so we will take precautions as much as possible until everything gets back to normal completely!

    1. Good on you for doing what you think. To be honest I think I’ll always wear one in future if I’m feeling a bit under the weather, I’ll pop one on to protect people.

  3. I don’t watch football and I especially hate the abuse and absolutely nonsense that comes with it too. No need whatsoever

    1. It is horrible, isn’t it? It makes me so sad. I think it’s one of the reasons I don’t like it, because people get so violent around it.

  4. I think with time COVID will be part with our life and we’ll get used to it and being careful will be our normality.

    1. Definitely, I think it will be with us forever and it is something we probably need jabs for every year as well.

  5. I agree with the way you’ll be handling the restrictions being lifted. You have to think about yourself and that’s what’s important and I don’t think anyone should be criticised for how they choose to look after their health.

Unfortunately, as soon as that penalty was missed, I knew the backlash was coming and how it was coming. It’s a shame that as black people we know that it’s going to happen before it’s occured.

    1. It makes me feel sick that you always know these things are coming that you have to watch out for things like that. I just, my heart hurts so much that it is so normal for you and that as a country we downplay how raciest we are.

  6. I am torn as I think we are coming out too soon, but in shops I will not be wearing a mask as I get too uncomfortable and need to get out and not be able to shop properly. I am also disgusted by the England fans

    1. Definitely I know we have to at some point as we can’t live forever as we are but I worry for the health of the country more than anything.

    1. Definitely the whole removing everything is a bit to far, we should keep masks and distancing at the very least for longer.

  7. I too, don’t watch football, but that incident is really offensive, especially the booing of the national anthem.

    1. All of it was absolutely abhorrent and what has happened to the players after, it just makes my heart hurt.

  8. I’m happy that we are steps closer to being over this pandemic. My oldest is going to be in her sophomore year of college in less than a month and I’m scared and excited. Thanks for asking and sharing!

  9. I also don’t watch sports. I agree with you in wearing facemask and sanitising. It’s better to be safe than sorry.

    1. Definitely, I think it has helped a lot and the fact we are getting rid of it so soon is worrying.

  10. I don’t have anxiety about the restrictions lifting as much as I thought I would’ve. I was more nervous last year watching the news every night when I couldn’t leave the house.

  11. I have been disgusted with the abuse the England team have received since the loss. It is absolutely awful. x

  12. I am happy that things are returning to normal again. I am able to get my carpet replaced in my house

  13. You got an awesome box! I heard about the football game but I don’t watch sports.

Restrictions are easier here if you are vaccinated, which we are, but sometimes I still wear masks. You just never know.

    1. It is a lovely box, isn’t it?

I hope that the restrictions lifting work this time but I do worry a lot.

    1. It is awful isn’t it – I don’t think they deserve the status of fans. I am with you on being proud of the team though.

  14. We missed the game because we were riding bikes, but it sure sounded like a nail biter! I heard that the UK was easing restrictions soon in spite of the virus continuing to be a key concern. We had been planning to visit London and the surrounding area in 2020, but obviously our trip was postponed. Frankly, we’re still staying close to home near Boston MA in the US for a while.

    1. Honestly, I would say don’t come over here anytime soon. Our rates are up but they are going ahead because of the number of people vaccinated so they are just hoping the hospitals don’t get overwhelmed by people getting ill but not needing to be hospitalised.
