Fashion Business Made Easy with Catwalk Wholesale
AD
Many people dream of setting up their own business from having their own brick-and-mortar store to running it via the Internet. I know in the past even I have.
However, it can often be hard to know where and how to start this process. Here on the blog, I have some interesting posts which talk about starting your own business. However, I thought I would delve a bit deeper into what you could do if that business was specifically fashion-based.

The First Steps.
One of the first things you are going to want to do when setting up your own fashion store is deciding on a name. This could be something that resonates with you or is more descriptive of the styles you sell. Either way, it should catch the attention of your potential customers.
Of course, then you are going to have to think about what you will sell. There are many different styles out there to choose from. Plus will you stock clothes for men, women and children, or just choose one?
If you are looking to stock for women’s sizes 8 – 18 then one place you may want to look for clothing is wholesale clothing company Catwalk Wholesale.

Catwalk Wholesale.
Having a 4.8 rating on Trust Pilot, they have a 10-year history of supplying wholesale worldwide. Here in the UK and the US, next-day shipping is available, with free delivery on orders over £250.
Allowing them (and potentially you) to stand out from the crowd, they offer unique styles that are made in the UK and Europe. All the clothes they sell are accompanied by top-quality photography which is free for use by all buyers.
Pieces are often sold in packs, which include the range of sizes on offer, with many items allowing multiple colourways. Information on what is included in each package and price is easily available once logged in.
I thought I would share with you some of my favourite picks from Catwalk Wholesale.
Everlie Floral Chiffon Dress
If you are looking for wholesale dresses, which are perfect for summer then this floral offering is perfect. Offered in one size fits 8-12, this dress is sold in a pack of 4 and is on sale right now.
This dress offers a wrap style V neckline, and elasticated waist, it has delicate-looking see-through frill overlay cap sleeves and a fabric belt.
Made from 100% Polyester, it offers a soft and stretchy feel and includes a short lining underneath the bottom half.
Kaya Button Detail Blazer Jacket
When it comes to buying fashion wholesale it is a must to keep an eye on what is new in. After all, you are going to want to be ahead of the curve. One of the latest arrivals at Catwalk Wholesale is this line of detail blazers.
Offered up in a choice of colours; cornflower blue, ivory, black, stone, navy and dusty pink. Perfect for dressing up (or down), this blazer features long sleeves, accented with soft shoulder pads, flap illusion pockets and button details on the front and sleeves.
Made from 95% Polyester 5% Elastane, the blazer comes in a pack of 4 which includes 1 x S, 1 x M, 1 x L and 1 x XL in the colour of your choice.
Jordan Leatherette Pocket Detail Trousers
From the plus size range, I thought I would share these Leatherette detail trousers. At the moment they are available in sizes 12 – 20 and are made from; 10% PU 67% Cotton, 20% Polyester and 3% Elastane.
Soft and stretchy they have a front zip and button detail, alongside pocket detailing front and back. While they have an inside leg measurement of 29″. With autumn soon to be here I feel like leatherette trousers will definitely be making a comeback this year.
These trousers are sold in packs of 5, which feature 1 x 12, 1 x 14, 1 x 16, 1 x 18 and 1 x 20.

Pricing
You may be surprised by the price of fashion wholesale, as it isn’t near the price you would expect to see in the stores. However, remember you are going to need to add on your own costs to this before you sell. From packaging and postage to overheads as well as making sure you have some profit to keep as well.
Starting your own business no matter if it is fashion or another niche, will be hard work. However, it can also be really rewarding as well.
Have you ever thought about opening your own business, would these ideas help you out at all?

I would love to set my own business up one day. Having a ‘normal’ job is hard for me with my mental health and anxiety. I did well with my Etsy but the products just were not right for me it took a lot of time and I couldn’t keep up
Pretty cool! & very useful info. Thanks for sharing!
Really insightful post – I would love to start my own business up
I hope you manage to set your own business up one day it is such an amazing feeling to do I am sure.
What a fabulous idea for starting a business. This is something people could really get into to make a bit of money on the side but I guess there would be quite a bit of work to do initially.
Definitely, the set-up is often the hard part and having the money to do it at the start as well.
I’m not sure about the ‘made easy’ – maybe the business part is made easy but surely you would need an instinctive understanding of fashion and what it means to your customers? I have no fashion sense at all which could be proved by taking a 10 second look at me.
Yes, I just meant this around the stock side, not the whole business set-up.
This is so cool! I’ve always wanted to do something like this myself
Ohh I wish you the best of luck if you do decide to do something like this!
This is an interesting idea. Thanks for the useful link
You are welcome I am glad you found it useful.
A very interesting read. I like the dresses on the fashion site!
They have some nice dresses, don’t they? There’s a couple I wouldn’t mind as well.
Interesting item and more like it please, but have ideas outside of fashion for a small business.
I have some posts already on starting up general businesses (there’s a link in this one to a guide to setting up a small business).
Someone has had an excellent idea as this looks a very useful site to aid start ups.
Definitely, it is useful to know where you can get items wholesale when you start up!
I honestly did not know that you can start a clothing company without designing your own clothes and there are such thing as wholesale fashion companies. I guess that makes starting your own clothes company much easier
It’s interesting, isn’t it? There is all these little things just hidden out there waiting to be found by the right people.
