  1. Some really great advice, I always closed the window and blinds at night and keep doors shut and make some soup a lot the winter months

  2. having cats, it isn’t practical to close doors, so heavy curtains over doorways does a good job of keeping heat in a room.

    1. This is very true – we can’t close one of the lounge doors and we have a heavy curtain over it – works wonders in both the winter and summer.

  3. You can’t beat a heated throw and I’ve got blinds on some windows so I don’t need to close the curtains over a radiator at night

  4. Turning up the heating can be eye-wateringly expensive so adopting other means of keeping warm in winter is a must for most of us. Wearing thick, thermal socks and having fluffy rugs on the beds and sofa are popular in our house.

    1. It is so expensive isn’t it these days? I remember when it felt like one of the smallest bills but these days it has to be one of the highest.

    1. Ohh I’m going to have to look into one of those we have the fan but could do with an air filter as my allergies aren’t so good these days.
