Cars, Instagram and More!
I don’t know what I would do without my car.
The answer is probably going slightly crazy! I’m almost 3 weeks into a 4-week ban from driving (health related, I promise!) and I’m finding it hard.
My car means I can get out of the house. It means I can see people and go places.
It gives me a sense of freedom, which I once had with just my legs.
Of course, our cars, all mean different things to each and every one of us.
Cars, Cars, Cars.
A car to everyone is different.
For some like me, it is simply for getting from A – B, for others it is a hobby, for some it is a collector’s piece.
For some, a car is a fun piece of kit, something they love to tinker with, for others it is a necessity, which they look to others to help them care for.
Sadly the cars in this post are not mine, they are ones I’ve reviewed on my blog and I have to say I did enjoy giving them a ride.
Plus finding interesting locations to take photos was fun so it is hardly surprising that there are ideas around how to take the best photos of your car.
As well as cars, which are spotted on Instagram the most.

Whatever Your Car.
Whatever your car, however, you see it and however you use it, I guess the most important thing is to have fun and be safe.
Making sure your car is roadworthy as well as photo-worthy (if that’s your thing) is a must.
How do you see your car, do you like taking photos of it?

I see our car as our life saver, we live in a village where we have a mini bus for the town, only once a day, you cant always get on, so our car gets us where we want to go, we treat her as a precious part of our family, with my husband being partially disabled we need the car
Oh gosh just once a day! We are lucky here as we have buses all day long, though they have cut them back, we used to hear the last one go passed at midnight – now it’s 6 or 7.
Can you believe I don’t have a driver’s license? I don’t/can’t drive because I’m spatially challenged!! I have the worst sense of direction on the planet!
I didn’t learn to drive till my mid-twenties. Sometimes I wish I could do without it lol.
I have never instagramed my car. I’m sure that there’s some sort of art to it to make it look good. These are great tips. It’s also interesting to see which types of cars are instagrammed more.
It is amazing how there is an art to everything I think.
I don’t have the most Instagram-worthy car (it’s a Chevy Equinox) but I love it! I think it’s cool that so many of the top instagrammed cars are affordable!
If you love it – take some pictures of it – others will love it to I am sure!
These are all super interesting things to look at. Many of my friends are into cars as well. This is an amazing post.
I have to admit I hadn’t thought of the best ways to take pictures of cars really before.
I rely on my car lots too, when it broke down a few months ago and we had no car for a little over a week I realised just how much we used it to do simple things like getting the kids to school (and realised just how long it took us to walk there and back every day with two young kids!). My husband is more of a car enthusiast though and loves looking at all the sports cars and ridiculously expensive cars lol!
It is crazy how often you do just get in it and go isn’t it!
Fun list and while I noticed the PT Crusier didn’t make the list,just how did they find out how many cars are listed,hashtags only?
And the cheetah and I hope you are felling bettah soon…..

It would be lovely to have a new car! That’s for sure.
Our car is totally important for us. We can’t imagine life without the comfort of having a private car. However I haven’t thought of car and instagram together though.
It is interesting isn’t it – but it makes sense so many people love cars!
I like cars but they’re definitely to get me to go from A to B. I’m surprised that the Tesla isn’t on the list of instagrammed cars.
Haha snap – I do like looking at some, sometimes but I don’t get the whole car thing.
We live in a super rural area so I honestly can’t imagine not being able to use my car to get around. We don’t have much in the way of public transportation so driving is our way of getting everything from work to groceries and doctors appointments!
We live in a little village so it’s been a bit of a nightmare for sure lol.

It’s amazing the things that people do look for on there – something for everyone.
Great tips. I love cars, especially the old and antique ones. But I don’t usually go to instagram to check out automotive.

I’m absolutely obsessed with my 2019 Toyota RAV4 XLE. I got it in the blue flame color and it STANDS OUT!

I am surprised that a Honda Civic is such a popular car to photograph. I have a minivan, so I won’t be taking pictures of my car anytime soon 🙂
It is amazing all the cars on there isn’t it – they definitely surprised me as well.
I love driving. Having a car is also great for independence and freedom! I have never owned an insta worthy car though
There is something wonderful about having a car isn’t there.
Although I don’t really like driving, I do like the freedom driving gives me. My husband loves old cars and trucks finally has one on the road, it is a ’51 Chevy pickup. It is in rough shape, but it is fun to ride around in. (And a little terrifying wondering if we’ll break down somewhere.)
I have to admit I can’t do long drives now, but I used to hate it. Motorways are awful!
I bet you’re really missing your car – it must be tough losing the ability to drive even for just a few weeks. I’m still having driving lessons and I can’t wait to pass!

My car is definitely not Instagram worthy but I have shared this with my brother. He has a whole Insta dedicated to his car and has been asking how to take better photos for it.

I don’t actually think I’ve ever really taken a picture of my car even though it’s very pretty. But like you a car to me is just a means to get from A to B x

You could do location shots if you head off to some nice places.
I have to have a car to get around, public transportation isn’t safe where I live. I have always had one, so can’t imagine living without one. Especially with children I feel safer knowing I can rely on my vehicle in an emergency.

These are some great tips! I’m always looking for ways to take better photos. We generally just trade our vehicles to the dealership when we’re trying to sell them, so we don’t need to take photos on our own.

For me a car was always a way to get from point A to point B. However, I just got a brand new SUV and it makes me SO proud!

It is interesting they are something that has become and photo opp in many ways.
I have had my car for 15 years and although it’s had a few small scrapes I still think it looks great and wouldn’t know what I’d do without it!
I’ve had mine since I passed my test in 2010, but it was a preowned so it’s got a fair few years on it now lol.
Right now my white car is completely covered in yellow pollen, so I wouldn’t dare photograph it, lol. But when I get it washed, I’ll use your tips to take Instagram photos of it. I’m so sorry about your temporary driving ban, I can’t imagine how hard that would be. I love my car and being able to drive when I want to.

I don’t know where I would be without my car. I had to go 6 months without one a few years ago and it was horrible.

one time i was without a car and it was SO WIERD to not be able to go anywhere that i needed too ha- its interesting for sure to not have that luxury that we dont think of!
It is hard isn’t it – I mean I don’t get to go out much anyway due to my health but at least I normally have the option lol.

I live in a little village so we are having to rely on my Dad for everything.
We’ve been car-less for the last 6 months, and I have to say I have not really missed it. I don’t leave the house much, and when I do I either walk or take the bus. I have a free bus & train pass for Mersey Travel, which is really helpful. I’ve even gone as far as Chester for free. However, my husband is less keen on not having a car, and regularly complains when he gets caught in the rain walking to / from the train station. He is now talking about getting a car again, but we will have to see if we can justify it financially or not.
Ekk I can imagine that cars aren’t right for everyone. I used to do OK without one for many years, I love public transport, with my health these days it just isn’t viable though to rely on it.
