Candyroo Online Sweet Shop Review

There is nothing quite like getting yourself a pick and mix of your favourite sweets. I know for me it definitely takes me back to my childhood.
With internet shopping becoming more popular it is of little surprise that sweet shops offering those nostalgic treats are popping up.
Who is Candyroo?
Candyroo is an online sweet shop that offers pink ‘n’ mix delivered straight to your door. They are new to the market, having grown from an idea at the start of 2022. They have family at the core of their business and are hoping to bring their sweet treats to the global market.
Candyroo’s mission is to deliver people’s favourite treats in a way that is sustainable and thinks about the environment in the long term.
At the moment they have a partnership with Ecologi, which helps them operate a climate positive workforce. Offsetting employees’ business and personal travel, hobbies, holidays and food as well as planting a tree for every order. In fact, they hope to plant 100,000 by 2025.
Alongside this, they also recycle excess sugar from sweets for beekeepers and look to set up a cycle to work scheme.
Pick ‘n’ Mix from Candyroo
The nostalgic side of me wants to pick my own pick ‘n’ mix, I want to know that my bag will be full of sweets I love as I’ll admit I can be picky. So while I’ve enjoyed pre-picked packages from online shops, it’s always felt like something was missing, until now.
Candyroo offers the option to choose your own pick ‘n’ mix in 500g or 1000g pouches. You can also choose to have just vegan or cable sweets.
When it comes to the 1000g pouch you can choose up to 20 different sweets, with each sweet pick being equal to around 50 grams of the total weight.
My Thoughts on Candyroo
The first thing that stood out to me about Candyroo is the fact you can pick your own. I’ve ordered pick ‘n’ mix online before a number of times and never had the choice of what I received.
You can definitely tell that it has been picked out around your choices and I think the weight-based system worked well. While it meant we got 2 snakes and lots of dolly mixtures, it is a fair way to do it and allows you to easily work out what you would like included.
The bag used to contain the sweets can be resealed, helping keep them fresh. While also allowing you to dip in and grab one whenever you want.
I can definitely see us buying sweets from Candyroo again, especially when planning a film night, or having friends coming over. Especially as the sweets are fresh, and their ethos is good.

I would choose the pre-made fizzy mix for me and liquorice mix for my other half

I love their Build Your Own Pick N Mix and I’d have Blue raspberry rocketz, candu cones, my favourite which are chocolate fish & chips, chocolate raisins, cola bottles, foam shrimps, giant cola bottles, jazzies, jelly snakes, mega snowies, pink mushrooms, porky pigs, rhubarb & custard pencils, rosey apples, spinning tops, white chocolate raisins, white chocolate mice, banana bubs and orange & lemon slices – that would definitely make 1000g!! x
I’m such a chocoholic that the mega snowies and jazzies are my absolute favourites. Any mix of chocolates would be fabulous.

Traditional Pick n Mix Chocolate Jar, I love the jar and the fact that it has got white mice in it

I’ve never bought anything from Candyroo but I love REAL chocolate made with REAL milk and NOTHING fake, AKA vegan
I’d get a build-your-own pick n mix (shame they don’t do it for the tubs, lol) and first in would be pontefract cakes. After a couple of pounds of those, er, I mean, a few – winegums, fizzy cola bottles, banana bubs, jazzies, foam shrimp and, if there’s any room left white mice.

When I think of Pick n Mix I always think of and get White Mice, they are amazing! 🤤. Pink Mushrooms are also fab, would love to see Bubblegum Blue Mushrooms too.

My favourite thing is the pick and mix. I would have a load of fizzy cherries, gummy bears, giant strawberries and snakes.
They have a lot of appetizing confectionery. The chocolate orange fudge looks particularly appealing.
Im vegan, their vegan range is fab and sell all my fave, but i am a sucker for a pick and mix 🙂

I love that they have a range of vegan sweets. It’s been a long time since I ate gummy sweets so I would get the Vegan Pick N Mix and make good use of the fact that you can pick up to 20 different types. I need to research before picking a favourite!

Sorry, but I do not like that I cannot browse without putting a size in the basket. Therefore I would avoid.
I’m not 100% sure what you mean sorry, I am able to browse without having to add anything to my basket or log in? The only point you have to choose a size is if you want the Pick ‘n’ Mix and then it will take you to the page to choose the sweets you want. However, it isn’t added to your cart until you fully choose the sweets and click the add to cart button. I would assume you pick the size first before the sweets as for 500g you get 10 picks and with 1000g 20 picks.
