Timeless Furniture Pieces
Just like clothing, there are trends when it comes to furniture – and that can be seen in things like the avocado bathrooms, glass side tables, and drinks caddies. Although almost everything comes back around, there are a few pieces that are classics.

What makes a timeless furniture piece?
First and foremost, the most crucial feature of timeless furniture is the style. Some styles only work in the exact time period that it was created – or as a homage to that time in furniture fashion.
A timeless piece can only become timeless because it is made with complete quality! All of the materials should be to the highest standard and most often, handmade last the most amount of time.
The care that you put into the piece is also going to have a significant impact on how long something lasts. For example, leather sofas made in Italy will need you to understand how to clean and protect the leather so it lasts.
What makes timeless furniture attractive is that no matter when it was designed and made, it rarely fits in with the other decor of the time. And you’ll see them used time and again through the years, no matter what is in vogue.
So what are some of the timeless furniture pieces that you should be thinking about?
Barcelona Chains
The Barcelona chair has a distinctive curve, and since the legs aren’t solid, they are perfect for smaller rooms or rooms that you want to keep light and airy. One of the most excellent things about the Barcelona chair is that they are comfortable and have such a unique design they quickly make a great centrepiece.
If the Barcelona chair is too square, then the Eames chair with a matching footstool can be the perfect thing.
Either of these chair designs works brilliantly when you want to create a reading nook, not to mention they fit right in with modern or traditional surroundings.
Louis XVI Chairs
Having uncomfortable chairs is one of the worst things imaginable when you are trying to sit and enjoy a meal. Louise VXI chairs are considered to be timeless because they work quickly in a modern minimalist interior design or in maximalist – depending on the colour and fabric used on the padded areas.
The rounded back shape is comfortable, and since the seat itself is padded, too, it is an incredibly relaxing place to be.
For a very luxurious seat that is still understood, look for chairs that have green velvet or a deep midnight blue.
Canopy Bed
When it comes to bedroom furniture, there is one thing that really sticks out as a classic. It has been used as a design since the creation of the bed. The canopy bed is so versatile too. You can hang fairy lights up, wrap voile, and even use faux (or real if you feel like it) plants to wrap around the frame.
The frame itself comes in a range of colours and materials – everything from solid wood to solid brush bronze. The structure, even when it doesn’t have anything on it, looks expensive and beautiful.
Most often, there will be little to no room between the top of the frame and the ceiling of the room – but that doesn’t mean the bed itself is going to be high up from the floor. For maximum impact, opt for a bed that is lower to the ground – this makes the most of the canopy frame space.
The Noguchi Table
While getting your hands on a real one might be a bit of a dream, you can get some similar styles that are just as timeless as this one. For real Noguchi tables, you are looking for the signature of Isamu Noguchi on the longest edge of the glass, as well as a medallion on the base.
There are only three elements to this table, two interlocking wooden legs and a glass top. The legs are curved in a particular way, and it comes in four colour options – white oak, white ash, walnut, and black. But you can find similar styles that have gold, silver, bronze, and even copper interlocking legs.
A glass coffee table is typically a winner in almost all houses because they work like all other ghost furniture – since they are clear, they let light through, and because of that, they can help a room appear less cluttered.
Timeless furniture has the uncanny ability to stand out and fit in – making it versatile and adding effortlessness to the room. If you are more of a trend follower and lover, here are so more: Top Trends for Interior Design this Summer.
