Varsity Jacket from Universal Textiles: Review
One of the great things about summer is you can put on your favourite summer dresses or wear a tshirt with your favourite skirt or shorts, the downside however is – when the sun goes down, it can often get chilly pretty quickly, that’s without the wonderful British weather and it’s love of changing its mind every few minutes.
So sometimes it a good idea to keep a jumper (or Varsity Jacket) close at hand just in case the clouds suddenly cover the sun.
This Varsity Jacket from Universal Textiles is just perfect to close by for any moments when covering up is quickly needed due to a sudden change in temperature. It is made from 80% cotton, 20% polyester and is available in a whole host of colours, each of which features contrasting press studs and sleeves, while the knitted collar, cuffs and waistband feature the same contrasting colour with a striped detailing.
The right hand pocket features a nifty hidden hole to the inside, just big enough to pop your earphones through and two headphone loops are positioned either side of the collar, so you can keep just where you MP3 is kept a little more hidden than when you have wires hanging openly out of a pocket (pretty clever I think).
The jacket itself features a soft fleece inner and is a soft brushed cotton texture to the outside, the knitted cuffs help it sit neatly around your wrists, while it slight fits around the bottom where the waistband lays.
It offers a comfortable fit and is in my mind just right for popping on when you need to warm up as it doesn’t seem to crease too easily if you want to pop it into the boot of your car or carry it around with you for the day.
Personally I think this is a really well thought out jacket – I love the touches for headphones and it really is a soft cosy jacket, perfect for when the weather changes, I will be keeping mine close by in my car just in case on days out.

I always have to keep something like this with me during the summer even because places keep their AC SO cold! This looks like a really nice jacket.
This is the first summer ever we’ve had where we need jackets at night. Not sure I like it, but if you’ve got to wear one, it might as well be cute like this one. 🙂
