Updating Your Home For a New Season
Have you ever looked around your home and realised some changes are needed but are unsure where to start or what to do?
Perhaps, you notice your kitchen flooring has seen better days and that it’s time to contact an expert flooring installer to upgrade your kitchen’s look. Or, you may find your style dull and wish to add some colour with new decorations and art pieces.
Below I have collected some impactful changes you could make. From small to bigger ones, these could significantly make a difference to your home.
Bring in New Colours.

Bright and light colours are perfect for the upcoming season and can be brought into the home in so many ways.
You might choose to paint the walls or you might use accessories such as cushions, curtains or bedding. There are so many ways to brighten up the home and bring in new colours.
Lights.

If you aren’t up for a huge renovation, but still want to make a change with a difference then how about thinking about the lighting already there within your home?
You can simply change lampshades, add new lamps or go further and have new lights added to the walls or ceiling, with Builder Depot offering everything you need to make such additions to your home.
If you are wondering what light additions can really make a difference, think about LED lights under your kitchen cupboards and sconce lighting on the wall as a starting point.
New Doors.

Doors are such a big part of any room, with internal doors making a huge difference in how a room looks. While external doors can change the look of your home from both the outside and inside.
There are all sorts of doors out there on the market to fit a whole range of spaces. From bi-fold doors to cottage doors, you could really make a difference in the look and feel of your home.
Flooring

If you are up for a bit of upheaval in the home then changing your flooring for the season could be a fun idea. Personally, I find laminate flooring such a good idea, it has come such a long way and these days is great quality and looks good, while it is easy to keep clean.
Other ideas could be solid wood or vinyl which also make great ideas and work well with rugs to give that softer vibe in colder months as well.
So there you have some different ideas of things you could do around your home to really make a difference on the look and feel.
However, what about you? Are there any home renovations or big changes you would really like to make?

Seasonal?? That’s 4 times a year!
I love all the bright colours for the new season and some different lampshades is a great idea when you want a little change.
There is something about spring that just makes me think of more colour.
Abold feature wall of your favoyrite colour or paper makes you really happy!
Yes! Feature walls can be absolutely fantastic, can’t they?
It is amazing how much lighting can change the ambience of a room. We recently changed the light bulbs to a warmer hue and I’m loving how much more cosy our living room looks now. I hated that white sterile lighting we used to have. It reminded me of a lab. We are thinking of repainting the walls for the new season but then it started to snow today…
Ohh I might have to do that, especially in the bedroom I really don’t like how our light looks in there at all at the moment.
Some great ideas for our new home. We need to put our stamp on it.
Congratulations on your new home – I hope you soon manage to make it feel like yours.
My bedrooms need decorating and new curtains would also brighten up the rooms. I like your idea about new internal doors, I don’t like our sapele doors.
I have to admit I keep thinking I might get some new curtains for the bedroom this year, I did the hall and lounge last year so why not!
Oh gosh – just bought a renovation home so the jobs are endless at the moment, but nice ideas – I liked the illuminated glass panel
Oh wow that must be such a huge job you have ahead good luck!
@Sarah-Louise Bailey, thanks we need it!
