Take Your Dog To Work Day.
Woofles poochies pals, did you know today was take your dog to work day? The bestest day ever for us dogs as we get to spend all day long with our favourite humans!
I’m already one lucky pup though, I have to admit, as what with the human Sarah working from home I always get to spend my days keeping her calm and relaxed in her work place. In return she gets to pet me, feed me and just look at me whenever she wants.
Did you know there are a lot of plus sides for having animals in the work place? Here’s the human to tell you a few:
Happiness and Less Stress.
Having a dog in the work place can increase happiness and reduce stress, this is because stroking a dog is proven to increase the release of serotonin and dopamine.
Those Little Breaks.
It is well known that sometimes walking away from what you are doing and taking a few minutes can help you refresh your mind and even bring new ideas to the table. With a dog in the office which needs to go outside every now and then you have the perfect excuse for having a few minutes to yourself.
Laughter.
Dogs are natural clowns, meaning there is often a good chance at some point in the day you will be reduced to tears, by something they have managed to do and as they say, laughter is good for the soul.
So there you have a few wooftastic reasons from the human about why a dog in the work place can be the best thing for you and in case you need just one more. Well just have a look at this poochies face, how could you say no and leave me at home?
To celebrate take your dog to work day, the lovely people at Monster UK are running a fantastic twitter competition, where you could win your poochie pal a hamper of goodies! To find out more head over to their twitter page now and tweet them a picture of your dog.
Have you ever had a pet in the workplace, did you find it was good for moral?

I’m a dog-lover and I make sure their activities are fun! They are family to us <3 Love them. Good job on your TLC to them
hahaha! EPIC post and mad respect for how well you treat your dog. Love the first person POV too.
She is a total pampered pooch – bless her lol x
How cute is this?! I work at home, so my dogs are always with me. They are kind of spoiled!
Haha nothing like a spoilt dog – Sal is a bit too whoops! x
This is so cool, i have cats, can you imagine how happy people would be taking there dog to work. Great.
Your dog is so cute! I don’t have a dog but I do have two kitty cats. I have take your pet to work day every day like you cause I work from home. This is a great idea. I can imagine all the fun people would have if they got to do this.
Aww thank you so much <3 I have to admit I think she is best 😉 lol x
I’d love to take my dog to work. Not seen my dog in over a year now. Will be reunited next year though.
Aww – I hope it isn’t too long till you see your pooch again! x
I take my dogs to work with me every day! I love to have them around to keep me company. I really love my dogs!
That is so awesome! They really can be the best company! x
I think this is so awesome. If only some companies would actually let you take your dog to work. I don’t have any dogs though, just two cats. I work from home too, so my pets are already with me.
I think it would often make the workplace a lot less stressful if they allowed it. x
There are companies that allow their employees to bring their pets in the office and I think it’s great because the employees will feel energized and inspired to work more and be more productive. Dogs are really great with easing stress what more if you put them in a workplace!
I think it is so awesome – if I worked in an office it would totally have to be one where pets were allowed just so I could enjoy their company. x
I’ve never had a pet before, but I definitely agree that they relieve stress and bring happiness in the workplace. And although it’s just for a day, it’s still very fun!
Exactly sometimes something a bit different and out of the ordinary is what everyone needs 🙂 x
I don’t have a dog but this is a nice idea. I work at home and it is so nice to have a dog at home, I am thinking of adopting one.
They are a lot of work, but such great company – I couldn’t imagine a world without mine 🙂 x
This is a really fun idea! I work from home so I have my dog and cat here with me all the time 😉
There is something relaxing about having them around especially when everything is starting to go wrong. x
Such a gorgeous dog! And you’re so lucky to have Sally for company every day. I don’t think it’d be a good idea for my dog to go to my office – waaaaayyyy too much paper to chew on!!
I am very lucky – I can never feel alone where she is around and bouncing up and down haha! x
Beautiful dog! My daughter has Great Danes — Daphne and Douglas. I think Care Facilities are good places to take dogs. They help heal the soul.
Oh my they sound like such a great pair of pooches you have! x
Aww, it would be amazing to work someplace that allowed dogs! I think it would have a huge effect on my stress level!
It really is so calming I can totally understand why some places allow it 🙂 x
Awww! your dog is so cute. I wish I could bring our dogs to work with me. Residents will love both of them especially Maggie, our Pitbull, she is such a sweetie pie and loves to give kisses and loves hugs as well.
Thank you so much <3 I really do think in some situations having an animal in the workplace would make such a difference. x
Beautiful dog, and what a lovely idea!
Awww this is so cute!! That little dog is totally photogenic
What an adorable dog. It must be nice to spend the whole day with him.
Oh how cool to celebrate your dog by having a bring your dog to work day. Your dog is adorable!
That’s so cool, I have never worked at a place that celebrated a day like this!
Oh I missed out, today is my day off! I think Zoe would drive everyone crazy!
Aww never haha! There is nothing like have a crazy dog around 😉 x
My dog comes to work with me every single day. Why? Because I work at home. (grin)
Snap! Best way to be I think 😉 lol x
I don’t own a dog but I could see dogs bringing smiles to people in the office. As long as the dog is well trained it is a good thing.
I think it’s a lovely idea, obviously you want to check no one is allergic / scared but otherwise yes! x
I think that this is a great idea but I am not sure that dogs like work!
Haha if only you could set it up so they did the work all day 😉 x
Since I work from home, every day is Take Your Dog to Work Day. I would love to see more actual businesses adopt it as well. When I visited Purina, I thought it was so cool to see so many pets in a business on just a regular day.
I used to volunteer (back when I was mobile) at the wildlife trust and there was a couple of people who would bring their dogs in most days, it was so cool! x
