Savisto Popcorn Maker: Review
If there is one thing that completes a movie night it has to be popcorn and while shop brought can be OK, there is nothing like freshly popping kernels to accompany your favourite flick.
Now I used to love making popcorn on the stove, but since my shakes have got worse and my fibro tends to be flaring up at those times I really want to snuggle down with popcorn and watch a film, it just isn’t possible. So that left microwave popcorn and while it does the job, it isn’t really quite the same, as such I was really interested to see if the Savisto popcorn maker would fill that spot.
Coming in a vintage style the Savisto popcorn maker, uses hot air to pop the kernels and as you don’t need to add anything to help the popcorn on its way, it makes for a much healthier snack than shop brought alternatives.
So how easy is it to use?
Actually I was really surprised on just how simple it was to use, the popcorn maker comes in three parts the base, which is where the kernels are heated (this can be wiped clean only), the main funnel and of course a lid. With the lid also doubling as way to measure out the correct amount of kernels, so you won’t struggle with putting too much in.
I was surprised to find that the popcorn actually only took a few minutes to be ready and that if you put in the correct amount according to the lid, it just filled up one of the boxes included perfectly.
Of course if you did want to add some flavouring or seasoning to your popcorn you can do this, once it is ready to eat.
Overall I was really impressed with the Savisto popcorn maker, it is so simple to use, makes delicious popcorn in minutes and is a lot smaller (295mm x 150mm x 170mm) than I assumed it would be, meaning even in a small kitchen we have managed to find space for it. It has definitely been something we have used on a number of occasions already and I am sure we will use it often in the coming future as well.
If you want to buy yourself a Savisto popcorn maker they come in at a very reasonable £23.99 and can be bought from their website now.
Have you ever used a popcorn maker, what do you think of them?

I love how this looks, it’s sort of similar to the one my sister has. I love popcorn, so I end up using it more than she does.
We have a popcorn machine at home. It’s a theater style one. Kinda on the larger scale but this popcorn maker would be perfect and would save some space.
I love making popcorn at home, it’s a healthy option. This machine sounds really good 🙂
This would be perfect for mine and Ellie’s movie days! I can’t believe the price either, I would have thought it was much more expensive.
It is so good isn’t it – I honestly thought it would be around double. x
Where do you buy the popping corn from? I’ve checked my local supermarkets and none of them seem to do it. I can find some online but the cost plus the postage is too high to justify!
I got mine from Tesco – it’s listed as popping corn but it often doesn’t come it to way down the list, the brand at Tesco’s is Whitworths Popping Corn (pop that in and nothing else will come up), it’s £1.90 for a bag 🙂 x
Omg I love how retro this looks!! SO COOL!
What a cute little gadget – perfect for movie night!
How fun is this! We usually just do ours in a pan, but I bet kids would love this.
My wife loves popcorn and would really appreciate this. Maybe a Christmas gift?
Oh yes definitely if she loves popcorn I think it would make a great gift. x
I have so many fond memories of popping pop corn the old fashioned way! I love this!
My kids love popcorn! I have got to look into getting this popcorn maker. Looks great.
Oh I’d love a popcorn maker! How fun! H x
We love popcorn and for £24 it’s a right bargain! Might have to invest 🙂
It is great isn’t it – I was so surprised by the price! x
I love popcorn! This is definitely something to consider outside of the microwavable bags x
I need a new popcorn maker. I don’t have one at the moment that’s why I don’t get to pop my own popcorn.
Ekk I hope you get yourself one soon – I don’t know what I would do without mine now 😉 x
Oh I love the retro style of this! I’ve always wanted a popcorn maker and our kitchen theme is red! Xx
It is just awesome isn’t it – I think it would fit in, in so many different kitchens as well. x
What a cool thing! Now I can stop cooking popcorn in the pan which could be very messy.
It can go a bit crazy when you do it in the pan can’t it haha! x
Who doesn’t love popcorn?! I must get one of these
Great review! I love how easily you can get homemade popcorn with this and how cool it looks!
This is awesome. I had a make similar to this growing up and nothing beats an actual popcorn maker! This one looks great!
I seldom eat popcorn anymore, but I had something like this a few years back. It’s perfect for movie night, plus I love the retro look.
I love the style of this popcorn popper. Mine is old. Might be time to grab a new pretty one!
Never heard of this brand. A great way to make a favorite movie snack. Thanks for sharing.
We love popcorn around here, and I bet this would make having it a little more special! I might have to slide this under the tree as a family gift!
How cool is this. Looks like I want to have this in our house
