  7. It’s great to use pumpkins after Halloween, so they don’t get wasted. Sadly, I just don’t like the taste! 🙁 My favourite bonfire night snacks are burgers, roasted marshmallows & toffee apples!

  8. We don’t’ celebrate Bonfire Night, (wish we did!) but we do have bonfires occasionally and I always love to break out the s’mores. Roasting marshmallows is always so much more fun when there’s a bonfire.

    1. I used to love roasting marshmallows, we would sometimes have them when I was helping as a Youth Ranger, if we were burning the things we had chopped down on a break, sometimes we would have thrown all the sticks on the fire though and would have to use the spades, so hygienic.

  9. Jacket spuds which have been put in the oven for many hours so they’re super crispy with some of chilli on top is my faaaave!

  10. I do leave pork in the slow cooker cooking in cider, which is just divine. Smells incredible too but the downside is I am always hungry when it is cooking x

  11. I love hot chocolate on bonfire night – with lots of marshmallows too. The pulled pork sounds lovely too. Jo x

  12. The Mcain chips sound wonderful, have never seen them so will be looking from now on. Mum used to make sausage rolls for Bonfire Night and jacket potatoes, still my faves.

  13. I love the idea of serving up pumpkin soup. And who doesn’t love a good hot chocolate when it is cold outside?

  14. A friend of mine has a bonfire with her family quite a bit. They have to be so much fun, where I live we cannot have them but I’ve been to a few in my life and I love all the food there. I’ll have to see if she’s done any of these. If she hasn’t then I’m going to tell her about this post.

  15. First of all, I want to go to one of your bonfires!!! Yum! My favorite thing is s’mores. I could literally eat them all day long!

  16. These are great ideas :). Love this season with bonfires and curling up under blankets with friends 🙂

  17. My mom makes the best pumpkin soup. It is a tradition for Haitian people to have it on New Year’s Day to celebrate Haitian Independence. I love that you can recycle from Halloween night and use your pumpkin for something useful. Great idea!

    1. It is such a fab idea isn’t it – I think often people just scoop and don’t think what they could use it for in the long run. x
