I love hanging pictures on the wall, they offer an a way to easily express myself, without having to completely change a room. As I am who I am, I completely admit that none of the items we have, really match each other, but they are all things we love and as such they mean a lot to us.
Recently Desenio got in touch and asked if I would like to have a look at their range of prints and as soon as I clicked over to their website, I knew I was bound to find something I loved.
Desenio offer high quality prints that are printed onto premium matte paper, surprisingly prices start at just £2.29, with each print being offered in a range of different sizes starting at 13x18cm and going right on up to 70x100cm. All the prints are sent ready to frame and are the perfect size for using with Ikea frames, so no need to worry about having to shell out on an expensive frame.
The idea behind having different sized prints is, you are then able to create the perfect picture collages on your wall, using the different sizes to come up with something really unique and creative. Sadly as I said at the beginning everything I seem to choose doesn't really go together, so Ash and I have spread the pictures out around the place, where they do work, rather than working on the one perfect group.
Personally I had sent to me, a range of 7 different prints, two of which were 30x40cm and the rest 21x30cm.
The prints come carefully rolled up inside a tube, which allows them to be kept crease free during their journey to your home, yet they are not so tightly rolled as to cause issues in the long term. I would suggest after getting them out to check them over, you keep them in the tube until you have the frames to place them into.
The prints themselves are really nice; they are beautifully presented on a high quality paper, with the prints looking bold and eye catching. I framed the prints in the exact size frame; this left no room for any type of border as while a lot of the frames don't take up the whole page, they also aren't quite right to accommodate a border at this size. So if you want to boarder up your prints I would look to buy a frame size up.
I decided to get one of the gold prints as I wasn't sure how it would work and I have to admit I am really impressed, it actually comes wrapped in tissue paper to keep it safe and the gold colour is absolutely wonderful, really standing out against the white of the paper. For those of you who perhaps don't want a black or coloured print I think the gold is a wonderful alternative.
I personally can see these hanging on my walls for years to come, in some shape or form and we already have plans to get a few more as gifts across this year for people.
