Origin Hybrid Pro Mattress Review: Is It Right for You?
AD – This post contains a sample I was sent by Origin for consideration on my blog.
Are you struggling with restless nights, aching joints or waking up in a sweat? Then you aren’t alone. Having a mattress that doesn’t suit you can lead to an awful night’s sleep, and it is something that a lot of people struggle with.
At Christmas, Ash’s parents mentioned that they were in need of a new mattress, and so when I was offered a mattress from Origin to review, I knew just the people to step in and help with this process.
So I hand you over to Ash’s Mum to walk you through how she has found the mattress over the past month or so.
Who Are Origin?

Origin is all about improving sleep by butting back on the gimmicks and instead focusing on what really matters, the mattress and the technologies behind it. They do this by focusing on premium materials and sleep science to help create supportive, breathable, and ergonomic mattresses that help people sleep better night after night.
Behind them is an award-winning British design team, which consists of a range of specialists, including chiropractors and physiotherapists, and they never stop looking to improve on their mattress.
What’s more, all this is backed up with some impressive guarantees, including a 200-night trial and a 15-year warranty. Founded in 2018, they are already being sold in 8 countries across the world.
Delivery & First Impressions

When our Origin Hybrid Pro mattress arrived, I was impressed by how compact the box was. However, I did have a moment of panic thinking, “Did they send the wrong size?” but it was the double I ordered, just expertly rolled and vacuum sealed.
That said, the box is deceiving; it’s heavy! Luckily, my husband helped haul it upstairs, and once it was in the bedroom, unboxing was easy. As soon as we cut the packaging open, the mattress began to unfold and expand. Be aware that you do need to let it settle for several hours before using it, however, you could see it start to plump up beautifully within minutes.
Construction & Features of this Hybrid Mattress

The Origin Hybrid Pro is a multi-award-winning mattress that combines 9 layers, including graphite-infused latex, organic bamboo-infused wool, cooling comfort foam, and titanium springs for optimal comfort and support. Here’s a quick look at the tech behind the comfort:
- 9 comfort-layer design – made to help relieve pressure, motion isolation and dual-action cooling layers.
- Edge support – helps getting on and off the bed easier, as support is offered right up to the edge.
- 7-Zone Support – offers targeted support for your back, hips, and shoulders.
- CertiPUR® certified – all the foam Origin uses is free from harmful chemicals and nasties.
Comfort, Support & Sleep Quality of the Origin Mattress

Let’s talk sleep because that’s what it’s all about, right?
The mattress is probably best described as medium-firm, but with a lovely plush pillow top that cushions the body without swallowing you whole. No matter if you are lying on your back or side, it helps you feel supported in all the right places.
Before using the Hybrid Pro, I was a pretty restless sleeper, spending a lot of the night tossing and turning. I often woke up sore in my joints or overheated (thanks to the joys of the menopause). However, since using this mattress, my sleep has genuinely improved. I’m sleeping through the night more often, waking up feeling rested, and not overheated.
I’d go so far as to say this mattress is cosy, soft enough to sink into, firm enough to support my joints, and breathable enough to stop those dreaded night sweats.
Long-Term Impressions & Verdict – Origin Hybrid Pro Mattress Review

After a few weeks, I can confidently say that the Origin Hybrid Pro Mattress has been a great investment in my well-being. My sleep is deeper, my joints are less achy, and my body feels more relaxed when I wake up. Plus, it’s nice to have a mattress that actually helps me to stay cool and comfortable throughout the night.
Would I buy another? Absolutely, and I just might, because it’s got me wondering how much better our guest room could be, too!
If you’re looking for a high-quality mattress that combines support, cooling, and comfort, I definitely recommend giving Origin a try, especially with their generous 200-night trial. You’ve got nothing to lose and (hopefully) much better sleep to gain.

Looks like a good mattress.
love it!
I would definitely try it! I love my bed, which has a newish mattress that’s perfect for me. But it slides all over the base when I turn over. during the night. In the morning, the mattress is definitely askew!!
Oh no that’s not good – have you tried some of that sticky matting you can get? Sort like the base of a rug? That might help keep it in place?
No. That hadn’t occurred to me! Thanks or the tip – I shall have to investigate!
Let me know if you can’t find anything and I’ll try and dig out a link to what I mean at least!
Yes, it sounds good! I recently replaced an old mattress and the new one I chose – which had lots of 5-star reviews – was really uncomfortable so the 200-night Origin trial is very appealing.
Oh no that is such a shame, did it has a trial with it at all?
Sadly not. I should have researched a little more instead of just looking for 5-star reviews.
Oh no! I totally know how you feel though, we’ve had such issues with mattress’ over the years a few years ago I said oh lets just buy a dunlopillo latex, my childhood mattress was one and 30 odd years later was still comfy so I thought lets just do it – it cost a pretty penny but it’s so comfy.
great review Sarah, put very well & mattress still going well.
I was a little concerned as in bed shops there are so many types of mattresses so if not tested first how can it be right for you but it was.
Also great discount & very affordable.
Thank you so much for helping with the review and I really hope it stands up the test of the time as well!
I’m looking for a new mattress so will definitely be giving this a look
I hope the review helps a little with your choice!
that looks a fabulous mattress at a competitive price – especially with the discount
You can’t beat a good discount can you! Hopefully it will help someone!
We bought a different brand of hybrid mattress a few years ago. We were delighted with it at first but it really hasn’t lasted well – now having dips on either side and a ridge in the centre, despite turning as recommended. I would be interested to hear how well this lasts over the next few years.
Oh no that’s not good – does it have a warrenty you can go back to them and claim under?
