NoTS from Q-Depot
I’m going to start off with this by saying a couple of things, don’t expect this to be an in-depth review. I actually wasn’t going to blog it at all, because after all, skincare is such a subjective thing, what works on one person won’t on the next, but the company wanted a post – so here is a post. It is probably also worth recapping my skin type, for those who are new to the blog. I have a complete combination skin type, while most of my facial skin is oily, I also have a patch of eczema which will react to anything very quickly it doesn’t like. I also suffer from outbreaks a lot, my skin is yet to get the memo that I’m 30 and I’ve been getting spots for the last 20ish years enough is enough!
This particular giftset isn’t available anymore; Q-Depot claimed in emails it was worth over $100 (the serum, eye cream + a $10 bag) this was then changed to what you see in above picture. At my working out the value of the package I received, which is without the $10 bag but has two additional products comes in at around $75 of product, so I am unsure where the original value comes from.
The products I were sent were:
NoTS 28 Remedy Acne Pore Deep Cleanser RRP $38.40 for 120ml
This is a foaming cleanser, which is pretty much scent free. The foam builds quickly and is quite rich, while the formula itself contains salicylic acid and is said to be KFGA certified (though I’m not sure what it is certified for?) It has a PH of 7 and I have to say all it did for my skin was dry it out and feel like it stripped it.
NoTS 28 Remedy Balancing Toner RRP $67.20 for 100ml
This particular product feels a little like thick water and while it does have an immediate cooling sensation, it contains alcohol and I can’t even use a mouthwash with alcohol in as even that dries my skin out. If the alcohol wasn’t enough to send you running away from this toner it also includes Triclosan, so it is little surprise that is dried my skin out to a painful level very quickly.
NoTS 28 Remedy Intensive Serum RRP $75.60 for 35ml
This offers a light gel texture and again when you put it on leaves your skin feeling quite cooled and refreshed. However, yet again you’re looking at a product containing alcohol. Alcohol and Triclosan + more alcohol = unhappy Sarah skin.
NoTS 28 Remedy Repair Cream RRP $102.00 for 30g
This is a rich cream which has a strong herbal fragrance which lingers and to be honest isn’t that pleasant at least to my nose, on my skin. I found the cream left my skin feeling incredibly tacky; on the plus side it does contain UV protection.
Over all for something that costs so much and is meant to be high end I am disappointed, the ingredients are full of things that irritate your skin and while the company said they had never heard of anyone who has, had issues with this brand before, my research shows, it seems others have had similar issues.
I guess all in all this is the reason why samples are great, they allow you to try a product, without having to commit to the full price tag. If you want to know more about NoTS or to check out all the products Q-Depot have, you can check out their website.
What do you think of the sound of NoTS, would you risk trying it?

Thank god for sample sizes I say, I’ve wasted so much money on different products over the years & always go back to the more natural ingredients for my skin as my skin can get very dry in patches & I must say, I think I would prefer to avoid this product as I can feel the burn just by reading your honest review.
Oh noo these definitely aren’t for me. I have sensitive skin and so anything that could even vaguely irritate is a big nono! What a disappointment 🙁
It was such a shame – I really hoped they would be good, and then when I Was told oh we’ve never heard of anyone having issues, but then my google search showed differently really annoyed me :/.
Hi Sarah-Louise,
I have sensitive skin that tends to react to anything that doesn’t like as well. I am glad that you gave an honest review to such a pricey product. So the truth is that I wouldn’t dare to risk it.
Zaria
Hi Zarla,
You are so welcome, I just hope it saves one person who perhaps would have tried it but has issues with such things, in the long term 🙂 x
I’m really fortunate that not many products bother my skin. I still feel grotty though if a cream sits heavily on my face. There is nothing worse than a toner that feels like it is pulling your face together. I thought you gave a comprehensive review that had fair points.
Thank you so much, I’m sure there is someone out there they really work for – but it is such a shame they really aren’t what I would expect from a high end product at all. x
oh love to hear of new brands, not heard of these before my beauty regime kind of went downhill when i had joshua lol x
I’ve never seen this brand of skincare product before. I’m sorry it didn’t work out as well for your skin.
I hate that this product didn’t work out for you. I hope it helps others who gives it a try. I have dry skin as well. I can just imagine what it would do to my skin. Thank you for being honest
It is such a nightmare when you use the wrong products for your skin isn’t it – it can really make your skin so sore. x
I have combination skin. Very oily with odd dry patches. This doesn’t sound like it would suit me either. I like to try samples out before buying full size products especially if they are quite pricey
Samples are wonderful as long as they are a decent size, I’m not a fan of the little tiny packets you can get as well – they are just no help lol. x
Im sure my wife would love these she’s really like trying new products that ‘s all about skincare.
Such a shame these weren’t right for you. Skincare is so subjective isn’t it? I’m sure you aren’t the only one to have had a bad experience with these x
It really is, what’s right for one person can be so wrong for the next. I did some digging I wasn’t – I feel quite annoyed they lied about that 🙁 x
