NoTS from Q-Depot
I’m going to start off with this by saying a couple of things, don’t expect this to be an in-depth review. I actually wasn’t going to blog it at all, because after all, skincare is such a subjective thing, what works on one person won’t on the next, but the company wanted a post – so here is a post. It is probably also worth recapping my skin type, for those who are new to the blog. I have a complete combination skin type, while most of my facial skin is oily, I also have a patch of eczema which will react to anything very quickly it doesn’t like. I also suffer from outbreaks a lot, my skin is yet to get the memo that I’m 30 and I’ve been getting spots for the last 20ish years enough is enough!
This particular giftset isn’t available anymore; Q-Depot claimed in emails it was worth over $100 (the serum, eye cream + a $10 bag) this was then changed to what you see in above picture. At my working out the value of the package I received, which is without the $10 bag but has two additional products comes in at around $75 of product, so I am unsure where the original value comes from.
The products I were sent were:
NoTS 28 Remedy Acne Pore Deep Cleanser RRP $38.40 for 120ml
This is a foaming cleanser, which is pretty much scent free. The foam builds quickly and is quite rich, while the formula itself contains salicylic acid and is said to be KFGA certified (though I’m not sure what it is certified for?) It has a PH of 7 and I have to say all it did for my skin was dry it out and feel like it stripped it.
NoTS 28 Remedy Balancing Toner RRP $67.20 for 100ml
This particular product feels a little like thick water and while it does have an immediate cooling sensation, it contains alcohol and I can’t even use a mouthwash with alcohol in as even that dries my skin out. If the alcohol wasn’t enough to send you running away from this toner it also includes Triclosan, so it is little surprise that is dried my skin out to a painful level very quickly.
NoTS 28 Remedy Intensive Serum RRP $75.60 for 35ml
This offers a light gel texture and again when you put it on leaves your skin feeling quite cooled and refreshed. However, yet again you’re looking at a product containing alcohol. Alcohol and Triclosan + more alcohol = unhappy Sarah skin.
NoTS 28 Remedy Repair Cream RRP $102.00 for 30g
This is a rich cream which has a strong herbal fragrance which lingers and to be honest isn’t that pleasant at least to my nose, on my skin. I found the cream left my skin feeling incredibly tacky; on the plus side it does contain UV protection.
Over all for something that costs so much and is meant to be high end I am disappointed, the ingredients are full of things that irritate your skin and while the company said they had never heard of anyone who has, had issues with this brand before, my research shows, it seems others have had similar issues.
I guess all in all this is the reason why samples are great, they allow you to try a product, without having to commit to the full price tag. If you want to know more about NoTS or to check out all the products Q-Depot have, you can check out their website.
What do you think of the sound of NoTS, would you risk trying it?

I agree that skincare is a subjective stuff though there’s nothing wrong in testing new products. Haven’t tried it but I will check the site you’ve shared and I might found something interesting.
No I love trying different things and always will I think. One day I will find the perfect moisturiser haha! x
Im all about the organics these days, especially for skincare. My skin is ultra sensitive and its taken a while for me to find products that work and arent harsh! x
It’s nice to read an honest review. It’s a shame that the products don’t work for you and I agree that samples are perfect because of this. Always a risk when you get product to try to feature on your blog. You can never guarantee that they will be for you, the PRS should know/understand the risk of doing so.
It’s a shame you didn’t get along with these products. It’s quite a big price tag and you had bigger expectations from them.
It definitely is a lot to spend out – I guess at least the plus side of samples is you can see if they work before shelling out. x
These sound like s lovely range of products. I’m looking to change things up at the moment as I’m having issues relating to meds
My daughter has had very similar problems in trying to find a facial product that works. She has dry skin, that gets irritated very easily. I don’t think she has tried this though!
It is so hard isn’t it and what works for one doesn’t for another, so you just have to keep trying till you find what works for you. x
Thank you for sharing your honest opinions on these products. I had never heard of these until now.
That’s true, samples are great to give you an ideasa sto whether you will want to buy the product or not.
Most definitely – they can really help you make your mind up in the long term. x
I probably wouldn’t risk it, mainly because of the price! I often find that you can find things that are much more suitable to your skin type by paying much less!
I am so with you on that – it is amazing the bargains you can pick up when you look. x
I love trying different face creams because my skin is hard to take care of. Don’t think I’m going to go out and buy this line.
I always love trying things – it is such a shame though when it all goes run. x
I love to try new skin care products. My skin is so dry from winter it could use some tlc. I will have to look for this to give it a try.
These don’t sound great, I am so picky with skincare anyway so I stick to only a few brands.
I on’t blame you at all 😉 lol. It is such a shame as I expected so much. x
I definitely wouldn’t be spending that much on a skin care product, especially one that dries out your skin!
It amazes me they have put such a price tag ons something that contains such ingredients :/ x
I love and appreciate your honesty. I have been enjoying birchbox each month because it let’s me try products (samples) to decide what I want to purchase. Saving me tons
That is one of the great things about those boxes I think, allows you to try some amazing products. x
Thank you SO much for this honest review! I’ve never heard of this company, but will not look into it further. I stick to natural products, whether homemade or store bought, and would never ever ever ever put triclosan anywhere near my skin, nor alcohol. I can’t believe a product that is supposed to be “high-end” contains those ingredients!!? I’m sure they’re pumped full of parabens and phthalates too! Yuck!!!
I am the same – I know of some great products from some amazing natural brands and I’ll stick to just buying and trying those from now on I think. x
I would more than likely try the products or a couple of them only in the sample sizes thought. It is really expensive and it would be a shame to spend all that money on something you are not going to use. Thanks for your honest review.
That sounds like a great line of products! I would love to try them!
I love trying out new skincare products. I guess you can say that I’m never happy with the results. I so however use lotions to keep my skin hydrated.
There really are beauty products that aren’t for everyone. I should know, because I have sensitive skin as well. This is why I go for products that do not contain chemicals, the ones with natural ingredients or organic ones. This is disappointing to hear.
I am the same normally, but I love trying new things so of course said yes! I think next time I will research more first. x
The only thing missing for me amongst these is an SPF which I prefer my lotions and potions to have if possible. It is rare I use a toner, unless I find one I really like x
I think an SPF is actually really important, especially when it comes to a day cream. x
I almost think every girl needs lessons in skin care as it is such a minefield of products and you have to be so careful when buying new ones especially if you are prone to allergies!
You most definitely so – it is such a shame that you can have such reactions to products. x
I use very little on my skin as it is. A simple natural moisturizer and that’s it. I think there’s too much hype these days to use this and that and it’s unneeded. Shame the brand didn’t live up to their claims.
I have to agree – I use sudocream a lot as it actually seems to suit my skin. I think you know what is right for your skin at the end of the day. x
Great review! I’m so glad you shared all the details about this beauty product. I find it very expensive and disappointed that it does not work well. My skin is sensitive too!
I really expected more from it I have to admit 🙁 such a shame. x
Great review! It is important to share important information like what you have done here in a review. This is too expensive and my skin is sensitive too..
My skin is so sensitive and I have never been able to find a toner that didn’t do bad things to my skin. I love hearing about new products but have a hard time experimenting myself.
