MYNT Tracker – Review and Giveaway
I am probably the worst at losing things, only last week I was messaging Bex in a panic as I had lost a review item, it wasn’t where it should have been and I had looked everywhere else. Or so I had convinced myself for almost a week, in a last-ditch attempt to find it, I looked in the place I thought I knew it to be. Of course, it was there. So why I got into a tizzy for so long I have no idea.
In fact, Ash often says we need locators on things like the remote because the minute I get my hands on them they are bound to be lost.
MYNT Tracker
A while back the people at MYNT got in touch and asked if I would like to try one of their GPS trackers and with a head like mine I, of course, said yes.
How Does the MYNT Tracker Work?
The MYNT Tracker relies on community GPS, working with a 150-meter radius. So let’s say for instance I lose my keys within my own home, the phone and the tracker should be within a close enough range to pick each other up. However, if I was out and about and lost them, not realising till I got home, I would have to rely on another community member being nearby them for them to be found.
Where perhaps this device comes into its own is how you think about using it. For instance, if you are awful for losing your car in a carpark, pop an MYNT Tracker into your car and you should *touch wood* have no issue locating it ever again.
For parents, you can attach one to your child’s clothing and set an alarm to go off should your child venture too far from you.
What Does the MYNT Tracker Kit Come With?
When you receive your MYNT tracker it will be in a really small box, after all this tracker comes in at just 1/8inch in thickness, 2 inches in length and 1 inch in width. Inside the box along with the tracker you will find, a spare battery, 3 ways to attack your MYNT; a phone loop, stick and keychain link as well as instructions.
For set up, you want to download the app to your phone, before pressing the small notch on the side of the device to open the battery compartment and removing the film. At this point, you can follow the instructions on your app to complete set up.
I have to admit I was personally really surprised how quick and easy the MYNT Tracker was to set up and when it comes to needing a battery change in future, it is going to be so simple, I’m definitely not worrying about.
What Features can you Set Up with the MYNT?
One of the great things about the MYNT tracker is you can set it up to work for you. You can simply leave it to only be active should you lose the item. Or you can set up alerts should an item (or person) go out of a specific range, this is available with both a visual and sound alert.
The MYNT also works in reverse, say I was to lose my phone, I could click the button on the front of the tracker and my phone would start making a noise.
You can set up multiple devices to the one app and have different preferences set for each. You also set the name of the device to the object attached to it meaning it is easy to know which tracker is which.
Overall I think the MYNT tracker is a great little device and can see it helping many people find lost items both around the home and away.
If you fancy buying yourself a tracker they come in at £20 and you can find out more information on their website.
