Museum Selection “Love is Patient” bracelet
Have you heard of Museum Selection? Perhaps not, but it is likely you have come across them in some shape or form as they are sold in many museums and galleries, offering home ware, jewellery, gifts and cards to name just a few items.
Personally I had come across them before and I was excited when they offered me a couple of pieces to choose from to review. After taking my time to choose between then I decided on the “Love is Patient” bracelet.
This particular bracelet is inscribed with 1 Corinthians 13:4 which reads:
‘Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres’.
Now I am not religious, however until my early teens, I would accompany my parents to church every week and I have a couple of passages and poems that have stuck with me, this is one of them. However as with many passages in the bible, it is all to do with the context you look at it from and on its own I think this is a wonderful way of wording, what love is.
Made from sterling silver the bangle twists on one side to let the words flow from the outside of the bracelet to the inside seamlessly.
The beauty of this bracelet is just how simple it is, the words do all the talking and that is the way I believe it should be. Everyone who has seen the bracelet has remarked on it, both the passage once they have read it and the beautiful simplicity, which means it can be worn with anything and really is well made.
I didn’t realise just quite how much Museum Selection sold and I think they have some wonderful ideas not just people to buy for themselves but also as gifts as well.

I have not heard of this brand but I’m sure I’ve seen these bracelets. I love this passage, too and would llove to own the bracelet except my wrists are usually too small for “one size fits all” type bangles. 🙁

That is a verse we had read at our wedding over 20 years ago. I love that verse. I am seriously looking at the site now. That has the right balance of pretty, with a strong pull of emotional appeal for me.
