  1. Some lovely ideas. We often light candles in the evening for the warm glow they give off. Over the years we have bought some beautiful candle holders and love watching the flames flicker in them.

  2. I hate to think that rats etc are cosying up in the home too but you are right. We have recently bought some new cosy bedding and it really does make the difference to a cosy warm bedroom. Great ideas and tips.

  3. I absolutely love a cosy home. I am just in the process of selling old clothes and bits and bobs so that I can make some money for Christmas and declutter my house of books so it’s working a treat as clutter just collects dust and doesn’t feel cosy! I like the idea of buying some new bedding.

    1. We have things everywhere I’m trying to sell the place is a mess but I’m slowly making some pennies at least!

  4. I think I tend to do all this alreaady. On a cold winter’s day, it’s lovely to lock the front door, draw the curtains and make your Living Rooma little piece of Paradise!

    1. I have to admit I normally love the curtains open but on a horrid winter day, there is nothing like closing it all outside.

    1. It is getting so chilly here nice to be able to get a good jumper on but would rather it was a little warmer.

  5. Over the last couple of years we’ve had work done on our home to make it warmer. Insulated walls and thicker curtains.
    Years ago we had a rat upstairs under the floorboards. It was a nightmare but it eventually left.
    Candles are a must have for this time of year. I love scented one’s but the glow from them does make me happy. x

    1. Oh gosh I would hate rats, we’ve had mice and they were bad enough – the amount of damage they cause is chaos!

    1. This makes such a difference I think we had some extra added in and it definitely kept things warmer.
