Life in a Lockdown #7
I know when I started this, I wondered how many weeks we would get out of it, it is strange to think we are now on week 7.
Once again, thank you to everyone who is taking part each week, I do head over and read them all, even if I don’t comment (though I have been trying to I promise).
Of course, it is only right to say thank you to Futures for coming on this journey with me every week and Jenni at Lyrical Host (affiliate link) for kickstarting the idea!
Fancy joining in with us? Well here are the questions so you can easily copy and paste them:
1) How are you feeling/coping?
2) What are you doing to keep yourself occupied?
3) How are you dealing with everything at the moment – are you self-isolated, going out for essentials etc? Has this changed?
4) What advice do you have for others?
5) What have you bought this week that others might like? Especially if from a small business.
6) How has your routine been this week?
7) Have you planned anything for once lockdown is over in the past 7 days?
8) Anything else?

This weeks answers::
1) How are you feeling/coping?
This week has been mostly filled with pain.
I have a high pain threshold and live with pain daily so we always say when I start complaining it is bad.
My left hip has been sore this past week, so we have been trying to think of ways to give it a bit of gentle exercise, using the things we have in the bungalow.
I do have a set of electric peddles, which you put your feet on and it just moves your legs gently, so hoping that might help ease the pain a little, alongside doing the exercises my physio has previously given me.
2) What are you doing to keep yourself occupied?
We’ve started rewatching Fringe. I absolutely love the first few seasons, though I am never sure on the last one.
I don’t think it was given enough time to really take off with the new time/story going on.
3) How are you dealing with everything at the moment – are you self-isolated, going out for essentials etc? Has this changed?
Same old, same old with this one.
We go out once a week to get a chippy and drop anything off at my parents I have ordered through the week for them.
Other than that, nothing much at all.
I’d love to just go out and find normal life going on, but I think that will be a while yet.
4) What advice do you have for others?
I know things have been relaxed a bit, but listen to your own heart and do only what you feel is safe.
Remember to social distance when out and about and stay safe.
5) What have you bought this week that others might like? Especially if from a small business.

Do my new blog logo and header count? Aren’t they fab!
They are once again by the talented Ellie Illustrates who did my previous logo as well.
I just love how she has made these images feel like the perfect fit for me and the blog.
I’d love to know what you think!

6) How has your routine been this week?
It’s actually probably so bad it’s quite consistent. I’m sleeping 12 – 14 hours, then up and about for the rest of the time.
Watching TV, playing Animal Crossing just chatting on Facebook.
7) Have you planned anything for once lockdown is over this week?
Nothing at all. I’d just like to go and see my parents and give them a big hug to be honest.
8) Anything else.
Nothing this week other than you can do this, we are all in this together.

Definitely it is incredible what some people have been doing for us all during this time.
So sorry about the pain, that is not fun. I hope it has eased for you? We have been in lockdown due to shielding for almost 10 weeks and plan to continue for a bit longer. Our daughter has been told she can lift shielding mid June but we are keeping things as they are for a bit longer. Personal to us, and I understand that other people don’t want to follow that and that’s ok.
We shall see what happens as they lift things, I guess?
Oh gosh bless you it has been going on so long, hasn’t it? I think seeing things through as long as you can is definitely the way to go.
It will be interesting to see how things progress and how things change for us all I think.
Love these posts, I cant believe it is week 7 though! So sorry you have been in pain, I hope some of the things you are trying help you out a little! Oh and your new logo looks amazing, I love all the colour in it too!
Aww, thank you so much! I know this year is flying by with us all in isolation!
Here in our place, it’s usually sunny throughout the year but it’s great that we have some days of rain every now and then.
Oh wow, I can’t imagine living like that, I’m so used to English weather lol.
I think we are all now just wondering how normality will return or how slowly we will have to take it. And thanks for reminding me about Fringe, used to love that show!
I wish they had gone on for a bit longer with it!
I have to admit, I’m going a little stir crazy over here! The only thing that’s hitting the spot right now is reality TV.
Ohh what reality TV are you watching at the moment?
Reading through and then I spotted the word Chippy. I could just do with a chippy tea right now yummy x
They are so good aren’t they – we are picking one up for our neighbour now when go too lol. x
I am so sorry you’ve been filled with pain. I hope you get better!
Thank you so much that is very kind of you.
I love the new blog logo and header count! It is adorable! I’ve been on lockdown, and I keep reminding myself it sure beats the alternative, esp after seeing video clips of people who barely survived or died. I’ve been able to do a few things that I always otherwise manage to put off, and I still have a long list. However, just getting basic things done is taking more time. I’ve only been out to the grocery store every two weeks. I could get more projects done if I was going to Home Depot, I had planned that I’d be going there weekly do get some organizers, and basic things for projects. I’ve gotten a few things online, but if it is too hard to return, then I don’t get it, so pretty much treading water. I figure it may be this way for a year or so, as I need to be extra careful.
Thank you so much! Definitely I couldn’t imagine having to go through having the virus myself – I am so glad my family so far have stayed safe and well.
I am still going to work, but I do have a schedule for my son, to keep him busy and productive
That’s awesome it seems like you have it worked out in some way.
I love the logo and header! I’ll be excited to meet my new granddaughter when I can. She is already 6 weeks old. Our area is in Phase 1 of reopening, I just hope people don’t go too quickly and cause a surge in COVID 19.
That is what worries me most I have to admit. Fingers crossed it doesn’t happen.
I like the logo and header!! The colors are so pretty.
Thank you so much <3
I’m truly thankful that it’s starting to get warmer out.
It has suddenly got so warm here – I don’t do heat well – typical English person lol.
Your new logo is amazing! I need to get a new one at some point.
My son still loves Animal Crossing and is on it daily!
I feel like it has really cheered up my blog lol.
Lockdown would be far more unbearable if it had been cool and wet throughout. But fortunately we have been having a really good spring this year. A little bit of sunshine always helps.
It has been an amazing spring – I can’t believe how sunny it has stayed.
I think your new blog header is lovely. Apart from not seeing my children and granddaughter, my routine has barely changed,
Oh bless you I hope you get to see them and give them a big hug soon.
I absolutely adore your new blog header, I think it is so you and looks lovely! I can’t believe we have been going for seven weeks now.
Thank you ❤❤ I am over the moon with it – I know it’s crazy how many more will we get in?
I love your new blog logo. Lovely and colourful. Re lockdown..It’s all getting a bit monotonous now isn’t it. I hope lockdown restrictions are eased more in the near future.
Thank you. It is strange I like it because I know it is keeping us safe but I also want some normal.
I am not really planning anything post lockdown too because – WE HAVE NO IDEA WHEN THAT MIGHT BE !!
Oh bless you – I think here it will be soon, they are wanting to get back to normal.
I can’t wait until lockdown is over. I am missing my friends and family
I am the same I just want to give my Mum a hug.
I do not know if7 weeks feels long or short. My daughter’s classes have finished and my son is winding down. We are waiting for some good news but in the meantime I am getting some long awaited projects done especially cleaning and decluttering
Good luck with everything you have coming up! I can’t even keep track of the days anymore. ‘
Another busy week for you on lockdown! You are doing ever so well. I’ve heard about Fringes, it’s supposed to be good. I live in a bungalow too! Least you can get some light excersise done with the peddles. Keep doing what you are doing x
It is really good – well worth a watch if you fancy something different!
so glad its nice and sunny so we can go out in the garden at least
That is true the weather has definitely changed of late.
