5 Tips to an Easier Home Move
Moving home is officially one of the most stressful things you can do and while it can end up being one of the best things, the journey to that to the result can be bumpy.
However, there are things you can do to make the process easier for you and here are five of my top tips to try and help you out.
Get in supplies.

Think ahead of time and start getting in supplies.
You are going to need boxes, bubble wrap, markers and more!
However, you do not have to break the bank getting hold of supplies many supermarkets will give away packaging boxes for free.
While some removal companies will have a deal where they will buy back any reusable boxes after your move.
Have a plan.
Don’t just go at your packing, make sure you approach it and everything else to do with the move, in a planned manner.
Workaround the home, starting with the rooms you use least and don’t just bounce from room to room.
Of course, it is always worth remembering to sort through and get rid of things you won’t use, as you pack, as this means less clutter headed to the new home.
It is also worth hiring your removal company well in advance, you might even find they will help with packing.
If you need removal and storage, then this London Removals and Storage Company might be just what you need.
Label everything.

When you have finished packing a box up, make sure you label it with both the room it needs to end up in, along with a quick insight into exactly what is in the box.
This will help you find the things you need sooner and help the removal men know where the box needs to go at the other end.
Don’t leave things till the last minute.
The last thing you want to be doing is rushing around in the moments before the movers turn up. So, make sure you start early and give yourself plenty of time to do everything without having to rush.
If you need help, then ask for it, often family and friends will be willing to lend a hand for a few hours., which can really take the pressure off.
Pack a small box of things you will need.

Remember to pack a small box or bag of items you will need when you reach the new place.
This such include things such as tea making supplies, medication, and toiletries.
This will not only help to make the first few days go easier but if you have any issues, means you have the necessities to hand.
This is just a small list of five tips to make a home move easier, there is so much more you could do as well.
So, I would love to know; what is your top packing tip?

Yes totally should have included that the kettle is a MUST for everyone.
Great tips – especially not leaving things to the last minute. I also made sure to label everything so that it was easier later!
It is such a nightmare if you leave things to the last minute isn’t it?
Labeling everything is super important! We never really think about how important labeling is when we’re packing until it’s time to unpack. Yikes!
Definitely I’ve not done it with somethings before and had a nightmare when we got to the new place finding things.

It is crazy how stressful it is – worth it most of the time in the end but wow that lead up.
Fantastic tips for people ready to move! A big tip for me is label boxes and put last in the removal van, items you need access to first thing. Items such as tea, coffee, sugar etc. Toilet roll ( heehee), maybe some snacks as it can be along time getting stuck in to unloading items that you get hungry and thirsty!
Definitely they are such big tips to remember, it really helps with unpacking.
We have moved endless times and can testify to the fact that labelling is so important. Writing down what’s inside the box on the outside of the box makes a massive difference!
